Makeda Ethiopian Restaurant

This is the best Ethiopian restaurant I have ever been to outside of Addis and even better! I only wish that I lived in the area so I could enjoy on a regular basis. The quality of steak and injera was superb. When I'm in DC I will definitely return. The service was excellent as well as ambiance....lovely artwork.

Has a great assortment dish called Taste of Makeda. This was perfect for showing the different Ethiopian dishes to our friends who were experiencing Ethiopian food for the first time. They recommended this dish serves two people, but it was perfect for 4 of us after we had Sambusa for an appetizer.

I have nothing but praise for the place. Regardless of whether I dined in or carryout, the service and that the staff have always been excellent. Today...I called in my order because I didnt have child care, the staff were so accomodating, when I picked up my order, I decided to dine in, ordering a separate meal, because I wanted to eat around the staff.
