Le Pain Quotidien

About

We're a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means "the daily bread" in French, and like our name suggests, we're bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts. At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That's why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you'll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.

This cute little french place is okay at best. It's a cute spot, definitely overrated and overpriced for what it is. Ive been here a bunch of times and the food is always overpriced. Paid 14 bucks for this vegetarian quiche. It was soggy at the bottom, like it was pre cooked, had been sitting there for days and then they microwaved it on high heat to serve. It had a decent taste, nothing extraordinary. Then there is the confusion of where to sit, because the community table has no servers. You pay for your meal and sit there. But if you want table services you go sit elsewhere Wouldn't be back.

The coffee and waffles were good but the place could really do with some comfortable seats for people that just want to sink into a chair and relax. All the chairs were just table chairs so you can never get too comfortable. It's a shame, because I probably would have stayed for another coffee if I felt more comfortable.

I went with my husband, he had a Couque Madame sandwich, it was less than warm, he stated "it tastes like someone who is mad at the world prepared it. I had a bowl of chicken vegetable soup, like warm but tasty.
