Zippy's Restaurant

My first visit to Zippys. The staff were less than enthusiastic, which is the reason for three stars otherwise it would be a 4 star. I tried the Spam Masubi.... Basically spam made up like Sushi. It was pretty good!. I also had the Chicken Katsu. The plate comes with rice and macaroni salad. It was quite good and would have again.

I love going to zippy's! However, I did have poor customer service while at this location. It had been many years since iv been on the island and there was a sign to sign in but no clip board. The person who was seating people completely ignored me and an p.o there customer 4 times before we had to ask for help. While sitting at the table, they didn't check up on us to see if we need refills or deserts. I love this place for enough for a 4 star but until the staff appreciates customers, I cannot give 5 stars.

Waitress was awesome. Got there at 4:30pm.. dining room was empty but for a few tables.

Never once had bad service at this location. Always great quality food like you would expect from the Zippy's chain.

Had the Zipmin. It was terrific! I couldn't finish it, so I took the rest home. It was still delicious later that evening. The noodles didn't get waterlogged like the packaged ramen noodles do from sitting in the broth. The dining area and bathroom was clean and well taken care of. The service was friendly, with smiles too.

Zippy’s always seemed packed so we had to stop in. There is a fast food counter with all the menu items or you can dine in. Seems like a hangout for locals. Food was diner fare but Hawaiian style.

Nice & eassy to access location. Large selection of food, take out, Order 'n sit or restaurant line style, sit '.n order in front street side. When we are out that way, that's our favorite watering hole!!Nice help too!

Good food, even if their Mac salad was enough to be my daily caloric intake.

I ordered the Zip Pac. Come to find my beef was not cleaned or rinsed properly as in the photo it still showed the cooked blood on it. The chicken just had to much blood on it while cooked. I understand there will be some but there was more then a norm. That norm is based off from every other fast food joint that I've purchased fried chicken from. The Korean chicken was overly cooked and tasted pretty dry. Zippys brand Kats sauce wasn't bad. The breads looked good too.

Came here to try their mochizadas, and we were happy with the product. I loved the chewy texture of the malasada dough mixed with mochi, then deep fried and glazed. So good! We weren't a huge fan of their coconut napple though, but it was a personal preference and not a view on the bakery.

When you want affordable local food, come to zippy's. Their Korean chicken is really good

This place is open 24 hours...which is awesome when you have early tours booked in Oahu...as well as when you have early flights to see the other islands. I am ambivalent about their Spam dishes...but they have a nice omelets and other breakfast dishes...as well as bakery items. A great place to stop at 4 or 5 am!

Not very friendly or helpful service. Customers share restrooms? Facility was not very clean, rubbish on floors as you walk in. Walls dirty & floors totally dirty & caution signs all over the dining area? Why? I can't believe such a mess of a place I use to enjoy going to every morning before work & my Ohana retreat on weekends 👍 now I know why we stop going there...😥

Was finally able to try this local franchise. It specializes in Hawaiian comfort food. I ordered the Korean fried chicken combo. The chicken was surprisingly good for a fast food joint. There was a generous portion of chicken along with 2 scoops of rice and macaroni salad. I suppose you can compare the flavor to general tao but less sweet and sticky sauce. Also good chunks of meat with much lighter batter. I found the macaroni salad to be a little sour though. All in all a decent meal for the value.This particular location has a table service option. There is also a Napoleon's bakery where you can buy malasada doughnuts.

So glad their open even in this troubled times.
