Uncle Ted's Modern Chinese Cuisine is NYC's spot for authentic Chinese American cuisine offering a modern approach to the rich traditions of Chinese cooking. Our modern and new approach to Chinese cusine uses only fresh ingredients. We prepare dishes such as our Tim Sun, General Tsao Chicken, or the "create your own" healthy option where you choose any four of 18 veggies, add chicken, shrimp, or beef, a sauce, all with steamed white or brown rice. Our cuisine is a mixture of authentic Chinese and American cuisine, so it is a healthy alternative to other Asian-style restaurants. We hold onto the roots of traditional Chinese cuisine while integrating the American flavor to really make it a special taste and unique experience. Friendly local eatery. I would never have known it without a friend who lived nearby but would definitely go back. Great food and they are willing to whip up variations. Uncle Ted himself was there and I felt I was visiting family.

Awesome General Tso Chicken. Good service, great location. The Harbin Hot & Sour soup also good. And don't miss the soup dumplings ðŸ˜

Absolutley delicious!! Our favorite Chinese in the city. Reasonable prices ($40 fed 3 of us) and high quality food. Beef and broccoli was so tender and the broccoli was flavorful. Pork fried rice was some of the best fried rice my husband and i have ever eaten. Highly recommend, we will be back!
