About

Thaimee Table - formerly known as Ngam - is Chef Hong Thaimee's first restaurant. Chef Hong cooks True Thai food. Born and raised in Chiangmai, Thailand, she came to New York and trained under Chef Jean-Georges before opening her first restaurant in 2011. Currently Chef Hong operates three restaurants in Manhattan, all serving Thai cuisine inspired by her grandmother and cooked with love. Thaimee Table offers modern Thai comfort food and a full bar.

Wow just wow I was extremely impressed with the quality of the food and service.

The pared down menu here is just right. What made our visit superb was the attention paid to the freshness and variety of the vegetables. I was dining with vegetarians, neither of whom like tofu much so the quality of the veggies in the dishes we ordered was key.

I wouldn't call it authentic Thai food. I thought the flavors were good, especially the noodles. Skip the papaya salad unless you really like berries with it. Service is terrible from beginning to end. Just not attentive and poor follow through.
