In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, "to meet Pan Am stewardesses." Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in New York, NY is still America's most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it's always Friday.

The food took to long to come, when it did it wasn't hot and the sliders were burnt. The server didn't even let you finish asking your question before quickly moving on. The only good thing was that the healthier option (glazed salmon and veggies) was tasty.

Visited this restaurant today after spending the morning at the Motorcycle show at the Javits Center. This is absolutely the WORST place I have visited. The bar staff was absolutely horrible. Ordered drinks and burgers for lunch. Well it took 30 minutes to be served our food. Our utensils and napkins were given to a couple sitting next to us who were leaving. Had to flag down the bartender to request napkins and utensils. Her reply was I just gave you your place settings and then realized she gave them to the couple next to us. She never did a follow up to see if things were okay nor did she see if we needed any other beverages. Absolutely horrible service. The business’ website states they honor Friday’s rewards. Yet they would not honor my rewards for a buy one entree get one free. Nor would they give me the double rewards points for December.
