TaKorean - Korean BBQ Tacos

The food here does not at all taste Korean. The "kimchi" is awful and doesn't resemble actual kimchi in the least; the bulgogi is also unrecognizable. Most of all, however, I hate the stinginess of this place; each portion is measured out just so (meat is given in ok quantities but the "slaw" bowl is very light on slaw) - and, there are barely any toppings (a couple sauces, sesame seeds, and cilantro). They're even stingy with the cilantro - usually they give out like 5-6 small leaves and that's it. Whenever I ask for "a little more cilantro", I get maybe a couple extra small leaves - and a "look". I do like the chicken here enough, but I've resorted to always taking it home so I can dress it in adequate amounts of cilantro/sesame/lime.

I had a decent, healthy meal. Lots of choices but the flavors didn’t really stand out all that well for me. Also, since the slaw is cold, it sucks out the heat from whatever protein you have so your food is a bit cold. I could see how half slaw and half rice would be appealing to people who’d rather have one temp.

I had the rice bowl with chicken and kimchi. The chicken was decent but the cabbage tasted nothing like kimchi. Not the rich bold flavours you would expect from Korean cuisine. Underwhelmed.
