Bartenders were cool, draft selection was great. Food was mediocre at best. It was a Sunday night and the restaurant seemed to be lacking staff in the dining room.

I went there for the first time and I was so disappointed. I got to the restaurant around 10:30pm & asked one of the bartenders for a food menu to order an appetizer. He told me, “the kitchen is close because it’s a slow night not too many people in here today.†That’s pretty outrageous if you ask me when they close at 2am and deney a customer food but yet you can offer a drink to them? Terrible!

Overpriced for very mediocre food. The “enchiladas†were tiny dry tortillas wrapped around a little chicken and the beans had no flavor. The tortilla soup was cold tomato paste with tortilla strips and some avocado (bonus points). We asked for some hot tea, they brought us “bedtime†tea at lunch before skiing, and when we asked about it they said it was the only tea we had and didn’t take it back. They were $4 per tea! The decor was nice however with the DÃa del Muerte theme and the service wasn’t terrible besides the tea fiasco. If you want a bite to eat on the mountain, do yourself a favor and go to the Old Spruce Cafe and Tavern.

Went for trivia night, which was fun. The atmosphere was good and the friends I was with enjoyed their food. I ordered the veggie enchiladas and was sorely disappointed. I got two half dry tortillas wrapped around some onions. What sauce there was I could have sworn was basically marinara heated up with cayenne pepper. It was served with a side salad on a hot plate which half cooked the lettuce - no rice and beans :/ some of the worst Mexican food I've had in Boston (which is really saying something)

Great food. Great drinks. Tough service tho. Hostess was great. Bartenders x 4 was running like a machine. Soon as we grabbed a table that great experience stopped. Missing waitress, another one stepped in the take charge and saved the day w drinks, to tide us over. Never made it to the food round before the show at Agganis. Unfortunate start to our night.

Super larger nachos but good luck finding the meat in them as they sort of skimp on it. Great atmosphere, but in a college neighborhood. Parking is a bit tricky, but they will validate if you park in the parking garage. Good beer selection and friendly staff.

Amazing place and food. Being a student at Boston University and a Mexican food lover this is my favorite place to go after school. The best dish here, according to me, is Chicken Fajitas. Also, the preparation of Nachos here is awesome(see the picture). I loved it. I highly recommend these two dishes in Sunset Cantina. If you are Indian and missing good chicken, try Chicken Fajitas here.

This place is buzzing! Weekends are massive with a significant student population that turns up. They have a dance floor section too. Had been here on a weekend and surprisingly got very attentive service at the bar counter. The three bean chili was well made and I liked their margs. Overall a good place to hangout!

I stopped in for lunch on a work thing. Great food, the bartender/server was great. Very polite, kept the drinks coming. Chicken burrito was great, tho a little small for what I'm used to, but I'm just a country mouse.

Decent simple mexicanish food, lots of beer choices on draft. They boast of the margaritas but we did not partake. Very loud and crowded on a Friday at 6

Had lunch here a few times. Food is very good and service is fast and polite. Definitely recommend them for a quick lunch.

Sunset has one of the BEST nachos ever! You get so much for the basic nachos - so much cheese and gooey-ness for just $10! We also ordered the blackened chicken quesadilla and steak tips. Those were both really good too, but nachos is a must here. The waitstaff is also very friendly!!
