This is an awesome cafe; there’s a reason there’s a queue on weekends. Everything we had was faultless, from the sweet potato fries to the avocado toast, to the bacon & egg roll & the coffee & chai latte. A sign of a good cafe is one that serves simple food perfectly, which this place certainly does. Service was excellent too. Highly recommend.

We came here on a whim for breakfast our first morning in New York and we were not disappointed! While the restaurant is small and cozy, the service was prompt, the coffee was hot and the food was very good. Overall, a fun ambiance and a good experience. Would definitely return here again the next time we're in the city. While a bit pricey, the avocado toast was delicious! Fresh ingredients and great flavors!

Banter was a great brunch experience. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our dishes and the staff was happy to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The wait can be a bit long so just plan in some time beforehand. They have a digital waiting list, so you can stroll around and enjoy the area. Will be back!

Cannot recommend this place enough. My avocado toast with goat cheese and pesto was amazing. So were eggs and coffee. Such a reasonably priced place for the location!

Amazing breakfast food. The nutella French toast is to die for. It has really interesting granola on top. The big breakfast is also great. It wont make you feel too full if you're a tourist visiting NYC.

Great coffee and great food. Though a bit on the pricy side, this Australian cafe has a variety of healthy brunch options, savory lunches, cafe drinks, and alcoholic beverages. It can be crowded, however, so it may be best to come in before or after the brunch rush. Nevertheless, I was more than happy with the Golden Folded Eggs dish and the cappuccino. The meal was not especially filling, but it was satisfying.

My friends and I were looking for a place to eat during brunch time on a Sunday. I had heard of this place and saw that it had pretty good reviews to we decided to check it out. For a Sunday brunch it was decently packed. Luckily we didn’t have to wait pretty long- probably about 5 minutes. I was pretty surprised it took so little time because all the tables were filled up when we got inside. The restaurant itself is pretty small and the tables are packed in pretty close together. We were a party of 3 so it was a little awkward to sit all 3 of us. The food was pretty good though. We got the mushroom toast, big banter breakfast, and French toast with strawberries and Nutella. The portions were pretty good and the flavors were good.
