Steak 'n Shake

About

Steak 'n Shake, a classic American brand, was founded in 1934 in Normal, Illinois by Gus Belt who pioneered the concept of premium burgers and milkshakes. For over 85 years, the company's name has been symbolic of its heritage. The word "steak" stood for steakburger. The term "shake" stood for hand-dipped milkshakes. Gus was determined to serve his customers the finest burgers and shakes in the business. Today, Steak 'n Shake remains the "better burger" leader, serving premium 100% beef steakburgers, hand-dipped milkshakes, thin crispy fries, and more. Steakburgers are made without preservatives or artificial ingredients, topped with fresh produce, and always hand-crafted to order. Other classics include the Frisco Melt, 7x7, Prime Steakburgers, and fan favorite M&M milkshakes.

The waitress has nice & friendly. The burger patties were thinking. I had 3 patties and it still was thin. The banana-strawberry side by side, was good.

Was avoided by two servers, one finally came and took our order. She was very nice. But we should not have waited that long.

Anymore steak and shake is not a pleasant experience. And that's all locations. Always dirty and poor service.

Questions & Answers

I read that they are looking for new franchise buyers. The ad said it takes a $10,000 investment and you are guaranteed a first year profit of like $100,000. Glenway was terribly slow much of the time and rarely open after 11PM, although they were supposed to be a 24 hour restaurant.

I noticed that to but not sure. Maybe Google it.

Don't have enough employees. That's what they have been telling customers.

They serve breakfast 24-hours a day 7 days a week.
