Steak 'n Shake

Ventured away from their always delicious burgers today and tried the spicy chicken sandwich. I think it is now my favorite. Worth the wait.

We love Steak and Shake and its a cheap meal for our family of 5 but the service here is just not good. Usually wait forever for waitress to come get drink order then takes forever to get food. Usually don't see waitress again. This time was no exception. If you go, be prepared to wait for a while!

Slow service. Expect to wait for everything. To be seated,to get drinks, food. Conserve your drink because you won't be getting refills.

Mmmmmmmmm this place has like baby fries and I LOVE IT it makes me feel like a giant but there shakes are to big it makes me feel like a wee little baby but there food is YUMMY IN MA BIG BOIIIIIII TUMMMMYYMYMYMYMYMYMYMYMYMY

They forgot our shakes. If they came to check on us they would have realized we never got them. The whole franchise has gone way down hill.

It was fantastic. In Batesville, IN! Great sandwiches and shakes. Great service.

Food was excellent but it was very cold in the restaurant. Which made sitting and eating in there uncomfortable. Our server Mikayla was great.

I live about 15 minutes from this Steak n Shake, and it never fails, every visit is terrible. From the sloppy food to the rude service to waiting hours for food that's not fresh. If you can bypass this Steak n Shake, I would highly recommend to keep on truckin'.

The food was pretty good, but the "steakburgers" make me recall that old commercial "Where's the beef?" The prices are okay, less than $30 for four of us.The restaurant was nice and clean and everybody was very nice.

First time in a steak n shake. We sat at a table the hostess pops around the corner says your waiter will be with you in a few minutes. Okay while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive, two waiters couldn't figure out what to do with us. They tried to move us they finally listen to me that there was 9 people in our group. Finally got seating figured out no menu. Apologies it toke for ever not very professional I think it was their first time too. However, the food was delicious.

Horrible service!! When we finally got seated, associates were more involved with their conversations between each other and on cell phone than getting our order to us. Our order sat in the window awhile before someone brought it and was incorrect. I felt like getting up and getting it myself! Couldnt even get a refill on our sodas. Will not be back. 1 star is to much!!!!

Love this place when you actually have time to enjoy a good meal sitting down.

EXTREMELY RUDE DRIVE THRU WORKERS

We were visiting family in Indiana and since steak n shake is hard to find in ohio now, we had to stop. Took 10 minutes to be sat and the table wasnt really cleaned but the waitress got drinks quickly. Put the food order in, no problem. Get our food back and there isn't any fresco on a fresco melt, wasnt checked on, only got 1 refill after having to flag someone down. The food tastes a bit stale and not very warm but we were starving so deat with it. Then we get up to pay and ask for to go drinks. "Thatll be a 75cent upcharge for the cup". Um what? Since when because weve been going to steak n shake for years and always get a drink to go and now you wanna charge customers who have already paid for their drink to take one with them? And the cashier looked at us when we asked if she was serious like we were stupid. Not a good experience at all.

Every steak n shake has slow service. It does not even matter where you go. It is just an expectation at this point in my rating consideration that I will give it 4 stars. Cheap food, server was friendly. Sad to see all the steak n shakes closing in Cincinnati.
