Spot Dessert Bar, which opened on November of 2009 on St. Marks Place, is CRG’s first restaurant. CRG partnered with the Iron Chef of Thailand, Chef Ian Kittichai, to create an innovative and never-before-seen menu that boasts an array of tapas desserts. Spot is the medium in which Chef Ian shares his global experiences through his confectionery creations. Whether it is a signature dish like the “Green Tea Lava,” “Golden Toast” or a seasonal creation such as “Mango Crepe Souffle,” tasting each dish takes you to a different part of the world. Upon the success of Spot, CRG launched Spot’s second location in Koreatown on October 2012 and take-out concept, Spot Dessert Shoppe, on December of 2014. Spot’s Flushing location opened in 2016.

Cool place! Pretty creative desserts, nice presentation (despite the fact that this place is actually one of the vendors in a food court). I tried matcha lava cake. Very rich taste and good texture. The entrance is not right on the street, so might be a bit difficult to find at first. It's located on the 2nd floor of the food gallery 32 (2floors, not 1.5, so you'll need to take 2 flights of stairs). Opens at 11am but gets pretty busy by 1 or so.

This dessert bar is highly overrated. While the service was friendly and quick, and the taste was not bad, the portion was very small and the value for money was poor. We ordered one piece of dessert and bubble tea. The dessert is in the picture and the bubble tea had too much ice. Won’t come back. Felt ripped off.

Place for amazing desserts. Absolutely best place for desserts. Seating is crammed, staff is nice. Usually place is crowded. Music is nice but too loud. Its a big room with multiple small restaurants catering diverse foods. So be prepared for strong odors. When you leave the restaurant, you may forget the odors, but your clothes may not.
