I have been here twice. Both experiences were fantastic. The first was with a large group, the catering was amazing, food selection was top-notch, and the staff was great. Second time, small group of friends, staff was great, food was excellent, the recommendations from the staff on beer and appetizers really enhanced our experience. The grilled octopus was phenomenal!

Five-Star all the way: freshest fish and seafood, top ingredients throughout, including a cheese cart to die for. And service: you cannot find more professional, period. Donato, the co-founder, runs the front of the house with ease, never missing a beat. Bearded (this is California) chef-owner Michael Cimarusti obssesses over quality. And it works.

Being on a business trip I was looking for a place for dinner and I walked into Siena Tavern to see if there was a table available. Some high tops in the bar area were free and I chose one. The waitress, Kayla,was there immediately and gave me the menu. She was very attentive and the service was excellent. The grilling octopus was delicious as an appetizer. The main course was pasta Amatriciana aaaand was prepared

Great drinks, great ambiance. The pizza and Kobe meatball are pretty good.

Our experience at Siena Tavern was Far Above and Beyond the evening we set out for. What started as a stop for drinks and “the meatball” turned into a beautiful evening on the patio with chicken, potatoes, arugula salad, gnocchi and topped off with their Italian style donuts. The manager here was UNBELIEVABLY kind, and the service was perfection! Never leaving anything to be desired. Thank you for a night to remember!

Fresh food, really crowded on Friday nights but staff managed the traffic wonderfully

I absolutely adore Siena Tavern. I went here for the first time a few years ago and try to be a regular if possible. The space may be huge, but I recommend getting a reservation. Tried to go as a walk-in and faced and hour long wait one time. The bar is open seating and you can sometimes find a space there but what is great about Siena Tavern is that the ambiance lends itself to good food, good drinks, and good people. In other words, you can be there for awhile just enjoying yourself. Bring your gal pals for a girls night out and enjoy some delicious apps. Or have a romantic dinner here. I also went to their private room for a company event and had some of the best pasta dishes in my life. Definitely recommend Siena Tavern!

nice ambient and amazing service. food was good but a bit too salty. but in general, really loved the place!

The food was really good. Mushroom pizza was nice and crispy. We also had the black squid ink pasta and it was so good and nicely presented. They have a great wine list. We enjoyed the food and sitting on the patio. Dogs are allowed on the patio so I got to pet a cute German Shepard someone brought!

The "burnt pepperoni" was absolutely amazing and is one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The dough was airy and crunchy yet maintained a good moisture consistency; it wasn't chalky like some fire oven pizzas can be. The only gripe I have is the intense club music blasting throughout dinner and the building. It was a bit of a juxtaposition to the visual vibe of the building, but that's just me. I would suggest easier bass vibes from someone like Handbook or Pretty Lights.

Caramel cookie jar is one of the most incredible desserts I have ever experienced. Atmosphere and staff are great but the food is AMAZING. Can’t wait to be back

Order the Shaved Steak Sandwich. The steak is tender and the serve it with dripping and the fries were hot and crispy it was amazing! Definitely worth the hype

Good food, the patrons are pretentious. So go expecting to be seen and to see others.The bartenders are awesome and will talk smack about the pretentious people when needed, they have seen it all.Meat and cheese plate were awesome, as we're the brussel sprouts.

Nice beautiful restaurant in River North. Nice place to grab a meal with friends and family or even for dates. Friendly and timely service. Definitely recommend the Carne Pizza! A little pricey, but great experience all-around.
