Salt Fish Restaurant and Tiki Bar

Very small place, not a lot of parking. There is parking in the back, we parked in the front. Very tight!Inside is a kind of random decor. Weren't sure what KIND of food based on atmosphere. We had a starter, a shrimp dish with mango and plaintains. We weren't big fans of that dish. BUT, the rest of the meal was 💯. We had pork sliders (amazing!) and a shrimp/sausage combo inside a pineapple. That was delicious! I had a coconut beer that was fantastic. Our server Andrew was really great and knowledge. And friendly. We sat at the bar. We did smell the bathroom while sitting there......they did have a diffuser in there to help, but just wanted to say. We were the seats closest to the bathroom, so understandable. Still giving 5 stars because you can tell the owners are doing everything they can to make this a great experience!

Excellent fish! (fantastic fresh poke) attentive and friendly staff. This is one great place to eat. The amuse bouche is always a delicious treat.

Awesome. My wife and I love to cook. We lowered our expectations when it comes to dining out. Salt Fish was a very pleasant surprise. I would recommend making reservations but even if you don't it is well worth the wait. Great food and great service. What more could you ask for?

Saltfish is fantastic. The service was great and it had a very friendly laid back vibe. And then our food came out and immediately we felt the 5 star experience. The flavor combinations were incredible! Everything seemed very fresh and cooked perfectly. This is a must go on carolina beach

I went last night with a few friends. Always loved to go here. Well... I am giving a one star because I had a bad experience I ordered the swordfish, when I got it it still had the skin on and half of it was the gray meat(I had swordfish from the restaurant next door a week ago and really enjoyed it so I thought I would try it again )I did not like the fish dry and gray was very fishy I could not eat itWhen I mentioned it to the waiter she was kind and asked if I wanted something else, my 3 friends were already done eating so I declinedI saw her in the kitchen talking to all workers about the dishWhen she came back she said, we removed the fish but ask that you don’t come back and order the fish!!!????Better words would have been nice like, this is how we prepare it Sad to have to ban this place.

We loved our meal here! We shared several appetizers that were delicious! Everything one the menu sounded great and we were all pleased with our entrees! The presentation of the pineapple dish was great!

Fantastic food. The best I've had on the island by a long shot. Price point was very reasonable. Service top quality. My wife and I will be back. Side note the place looks awesome inside. The decor and atmosphere fit like a glove.

Small intimate restaurant. A real treasure for the Island. Had the Sampler Appetizer Tray and Spicy Tempura Lobster, Fabulous! We were a party of six and each person loved their meal. You have to have the Fish dip and flat bread!

Creative, playful, delicious fare! You will find strong Caribbean, Asian, and Latin influences in the chef's signature dishes including freshly caught seafood, beef, pork, chicken and vegetarian options. The conch fritters and lobster ceviche alone will transport you to the Bahamas. Don't be fooled by the simple sounding Polynesian Fried Chicken and macaroni and cheese - both are complex and flavorful. They offer a variety of fun cocktails, too. No room for dessert on this trip! Reservations are recommended as there is limited seating.

This may have been the best meal we have experienced. We started with the jerk shrimp on plantains. Followed with the shrimp sausage fried rice that is served in a pineapple. The portion size was filling and my partner loved every bite. I had the seafood curry soup. It has a pleasant spice level and was more than enough for a take home serving. We finished the amazing meal with the caramel cheesecake. The presentation is magazine worthy and the taste was phenomenal. This is definitely a must try. Recommend making reservations due to the small intimate setting.

Amazing dinner and drinks last night with my wife. We will definitely be back! Fish was fresh and cooked perfectly! Love the fresh flower garnish, beautiful presentation!

Exotic decor. Friendly wait staff. Amazing flavors. Best restaurant on the island.
