Ri Ra The Irish Pub Charlotte NC

About

Rí Rá opened its doors for the first time on March 14th, 1997. The pub survived a major fire in 2009 and will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2017. Meticulously restored in Ireland and shipped to the US, Rí Rá embodies everything that you would expect from a genuine Irish pub. The pub has been carefully restored from old Irish pubs and related salvaged artefacts including an original shop bar, a 19th century Victorian bar. The pub and fire restoration required a tremendous effort from a select group of master carpenters, glazers and painters. We are proud to showcase a unique and genuine Irish pub in Uptown Charlotte.

Welcoming and friendly as always!! Had the Publican Rueben sandwich...so delicious. Paired with Duck-Rabbit milk stout, it really hit the spot. Beautiful, old ambiance, love the upstairs whiskey bar. Fun fact: Rí Rá is one of the most haunted places in Charlotte, and there's alot of history about it that is fascinating.

The staff was very nice. The setting was cool, and I would call it authentic. Food was normal pub fair, nothing special. Beer was fine. They lost a star for be because of the cocktails, both in quality and price.

Popped in for a quick drink and snack before a show. The bar tender was very helpful in getting us served quickly. The food was very good. Atmosphere very nice. Want to go back soon to properly enjoy the place.

Questions & Answers

nah. i wouldnt recommend it

There's 7 of them in the US. So, I'd say yes, but not a big one. Slanté

Nope

Some of the seating is really okay for kids they don't have high chairs that I remember or know of the boobs are fun to have a lot of high top tables if you go there and it's really busy and might be a little harder for you to have your kids there I usually go like before any brushes so like early afternoon before the lunch rush or like right after the lunch rush before the dinner rush a really good time to take your kids there but I definitely would not do it during like straight dinner or on the weekends where it starts to pick up where you have the drinking crowd coming in
