This isn't just a chocolate store. This is a chocolate superstore, coffee house, and ice cream parlor. If you have never had orange chocolate, you have to try it. In fact, be sure to try either the orange hot chocolate, or the orange chocolate coffee. WOW! This place has never disappointed. Be sure to pick up some chocolate and a coffee and enjoy the beautiful store.

Orange chocolate hot fudge and orange chocolate soft serve changed my life. It’s high quality ice cream and fudge, as if they turned a chocolate bar into fudge and ice cream - no skimping on the rich flavor. there are separate ordering stations for ice cream, coffee, and candies. I stopped at all 3 and was very pleased. Coffee was brewed perfectly, chocolates were awesome, and so was the ice cream. prices are fair. the best part about this place is the environment, you can see the “factory†part of the shop behind glass walls and it makes for a great experience. i will be back!

I've loved Platter's since they opened! On this particular visit, I told the gal behind the counter that I wished they had Vernor's ginger ale, because I didn't see it listed on their board for a float. A few seconds later, she turns around with a can!! Just add a Vernor's float (some people call them Boston Coolers) to the list of what I like at this place!!

Love Platter's chocolates - I grew up eating chocolate made by them and prefer them over Fowler's and Watson's. I loved visiting their tiny chocolate and ice cream shop on Oliver Street when I was a kid, and love that they are now in the Wurlitzer building. I always try to visit when I'm in town now!

I love platters chocolates and ice creams, however I personally think it’s uncalled for to use gelatin in sponge candy! I think that there are many alternatives to animal products and you don’t even need an alternative. I have made sponge candy before and only used sugar, corn syrup, baking soda, and vinegar and they had the same taste and texture as store bought ones! At least I think many costumers would enjoy a vegan/vegetarian version of sponge candy! Thank you - a disgruntled vegetarian

Love love love this place. So pretty inside. A great place to take kids or to take a date for ice cream. One side is an ice cream parlor the other side is a candy and fudge Shoppe. They also have an area where you can look through a glass window and watch how they make sponge candy. I visit this shoppe frequently.

If you are visiting the Buffalo Niagara area- stop to visit this amazing destination for all things sweet & yummy! In the historic Wurlitzer building. Known for their orange chocolate... although I am partial to their peanut butter sponge candy! One side of the shop is boxed and packaged chocolates and confections. The other side is an ice cream parlor. Between is a counter to purchase coffee / tea / bubble tea and baked goods. Plus there are windows into the production line- you can watch them making their products and pouring / molding chocolate. Plenty of seating with 2 cozy fireplaces. Staff is friendly & helpful. During the summer, the ice cream line can get pretty long- you can still grab an iced tea or coffee or chocolates without a long wait, or they have prepackaged ice cream sandwiches, pints, hot fudge, and ice cream pies to go. They also have lovely gift baskets, and do special orders. It's a wonderful place!

Their ice cream is such a treat and their space is inviting. A nice place to sit and stay for a little while with friends and family. My sundae was good (Almond bitter crunch I think) bit I should have added almonds to it instead of the chocolate pieces that came with it.
