Planetary coffee is located in a charming turn-of-the-century-home on the East Side of beautiful Elk Rapids, Michigan. Here you will find us serving up a stellar selection of coffee, tea, and espresso drinks alongside a mouth-watering selection of locally made gluten-free/vegan pastries from Third Coast Bakery. Our philosophy when it comes to coffee is simple, source it well, prepare it with care, and serve it with love and respect for all those who have made the journey from seed to cup. Our tea list is brought to you by Spirit Tea, is out of this world when brewed to order or served over ice. To craft our beverages, we always use the finest ingredients, sourcing them locally and regionally whenever possible. Not to be missed menu offerings include our house-made chai latte, cold brewed coffee, and a rotating cast of seasonal signature drinks.

My wife and I come here on our 1-2x/year trips to the Traverse City area, and we love Planetary Coffee! We found them last year and since then we pledged to make it a regular stop. The hot chocolate is great, and they've got a good variety of non-dairy milks for those who want them. The owners are friendly and very knowledgeable about all aspects of the process and what they carry, and give great recommendations as well. The shop itself is really cute, and well-designed. It's a great place for a quick cup, a visit with friends, or to spend some time on the laptop. Make sure to visit Planetary, leave the big coffee chains behind.

Family owned and family run. Lattes are amazing! They even have some little eats from a local business. Cookies, muffins, etc.
