The beers and food are all excellent. The staff is amongst the most friendly anywhere. I had ordered a dozen oysters as an appetizer and the fish and chips as a meal. They both came at the same time, so the bartender offered to put my fish and chips back under the heat lamp. However when I told her I was ready for them, she brought me a freshly made basket saying that they should not have dropped them that early so that I could have them as fresh as possible. This is the type of above and beyond service that lets you know they care very much about the quality of their food and the customer experience.

It is consistently one of the best restaurants around for oysters, seafood specials and the Oysterhouse burger with the fried oysters.

Trying to do my part to support local restaurants, I ordered take-out from their "Quarantine Cafe" (F-S, 4-8 pm). Now I grew up by the ocean in RI, and kind of wasn't expecting much from a oyster bar in the mountains of Western North Carolina, but I gotta say... these folks know their way around an oyster! I had the Fried Oysters with Blue Cheese, and I cannot wait to go back and try something else. So good!!!!
