Outback steakhouse is a great restaurant chain and has good food with good service. They serve steak, shrimp and other foods cooked on a grill. They have a rather nice sized bar that looks fully stocked. All that being said, the only thing I have gotten from Outback steakhouse in the last 12 years is thier Blooming Onion!!! Now, the Mechanicsville Outback has always cooked my Blooming Onion exactly the way I like it, cooked well with extra dipping sauce. I can and usually eat one as a meal, ALL BY MYSELF and I am full!!! This prevents friends and family from double dipping in my sauce!!! I will eat them in the restaurant or eat one while driving, THEY ARE DELICIOUS!!! I suggest you get in there and try one, you won't be disappointed!!!

Service and food are both inconsistent. On our last visit, the food was good and service was excellent, but they've both been bad. The parking lot is too small, especially on weekends.

The food was absolutely outstanding. Our server was the greatest that I've ever had. We had my handicap daughter's 30th birthday there and she was very attentive she went above and beyond the call and she made us feel like she wanted us to be there and made everybody at the table very happy and I was very pleased.

I came here with my extended family and friends to celebrate a life and remember a life well lived. We waited a really long time, but the management did accommodate our group of 16. Each of us enjoyed our meal selection and the food was served as ordered. The servers were on point and kept up with each of our needs. This was an overall very good visit. The restaurant presented clean all around.
