About

Established in 1856, the Old Ebbitt Grill was a favorite of Presidents Grant, Cleveland, Harding, and Theodore Roosevelt. The restaurant's decor is comprised of a Beaux-Arts facade, mahogany and velvet booths, and bars set in marble, brass, and beveled glass. Old Ebbitt serves a diverse selection of food including steaks, seafood, pasta, sandwiches, and also features an Oyster Bar with oysters form both coasts. Open early for breakfast and weekend brunch, and serving lunch, dinner and a late-night menu. Private and semi-private dining rooms including a rooftop overlooking the monuments and The White House.

Well trying out the traditional white house correspondent menu. It is okay but I still need some meat with my pasta even if it is cooked with vodka.

I had the Chesapeake Bennie - amazing. Nice, thick English muffin topped with a delicious jumbo lump crab cake and egg Benedict. The hollandaise was creamy and flavorful. The New England Clam Chowder was also very, very good. All around great food and fantastic service.

Always a great place for dinner. We hadn't been for a while so we decided to go for my wife's birthday.As usual, great food, good ambience and polite, attentive service. I highly recommend this place.
