We stopped by OB's to celebrate my graduation from college and could not have been more impressed by the menu, food, or attentiveness of management. During our visit, the owner stopped by our table several times to chat and explain the menu, delve into the history of the restaurant, and express his passion for German food. Another notable moment was that, as we were waiting for a table, the owner invited us to play a complimentary round of Hammerschlagen! Very cool!

I was excited to try this restaurant but very disappointed in the experience. In general the food was mediocre. Mom ordered two appetizers. The hockey puck looking one is a baked Brie with Lingonberries. Compared to the amount Brie the lingonberries were sparse and lacked anything on which to eat it like toast points. When we asked for more berries, we were informed that more berries would be $5. The other appetizer was Feta Cheese Meatballs. Really they were deep fried meatballs with a square of cold feta on top and a bland cream sauce for dipping. Four other dishes were fish, three haddock and a perch. The last dish was Goulash that lacked flavor and the sauerkraut that was supposed to be a key ingredient. Glad to have tried it, won’t go back.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in the Fox Valley. I'm pretty picky about restaurants and German restaurants in particular since I lived in Germany for 6 years. The owners of this place are from the same area in Germany I lived in, and I can tell you the food here is as authentic as it gets. I have yet to eat anything bad here, and the service is excellent as well. If you're reading this and you haven't been to OB's Brau Haus yet, do yourself a favor and give a try. It's well worth it!

I've never had a bad meal here. The battered fish and shrimp are some of the best around.

My favorite club vibe in the 920. Better than D2 (sorry).

Awesome food, very authentic German food, some of the best beer I've had. Brewed to perfection and the Oktoberfest if hard to beat. Staff is very friendly and treat everyone like a regular. Here's to you *cheers*

It was okay just too many young people's for me but other than that it was joyful.

Not sure why this is the only place dt with a cover charge? It's not like there is anything exclusive about the bar or anything special about your experience...

Paid a $10 cover, and for what? Spent $19 on a beer and a mixed drink, did they forget this is Appleton, not Chicago? And you do literally nothing for birthdays, not even a shot? The bartending staff couldn't have looked more unhappy if they tried. If you're going to pay a DJ to spin, pick one that knows how to spin. Seriously, I walked in with high hopes for my niece's 21st birthday, we spent 5 minutes here and left. Your food is delicious, maybe you should stick to that.

Nice atmosphere. Very good food with excellent presentation. Service was attentive and professional. Beer selection suits a rainbow of palates. We had sauerbraten with red cabbage and spaetzle and salmon filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus.
