Oak City Meatball Shoppe

They're local, and they serve up some delicious meatballs and some very fine bourbon! It doesn't just have to be your subway meatball marinara experience either--you can go with beef, chicken, pork or veggie balls and get them served up with your choice of cheese and sauce (from the traditional, to the hot, to meat sauce or Parisian Cream or Pesto). Even better then the sauce, I'd say are the sides. Get your meatballs served up ontop of some delicious smashed potatoes, or just get a large dish of heavenly Mac n Cheese and eat yourself into a coma!

Spicy pork meatballs, with mac & cheese absolutely superb. I definitely recommend this for anyone. First time there and experience was great. They also have a good atmosphere with a great drinks selection; wine, beer, mixed drinks.

The food was pretty good for the price ($9 for four large meatballs) but not the best I've ever had. The bartenders were great. Fantastic selection of beers, and flights of bourbon for those who want to try a few different kinds. I'd recommend a reservation since there aren't many tables, but the bar is full service, so don't count that out for a quick stop. Meatball and sauce of the day change regularly.
