Located on S. Blount Street, MOFU Shoppe brings the flavors of Asia to downtown Raleigh, fittingly, in an old car dealership (hence the unique garage doors). The dishes are inspired by the foods commonly eaten in several Asian countries and represent our identity in a unique way. We like refer to our approach to food and our identity as nature (Asian Americans) and nurture (who grew up in the South around lots of diverse ethnic food).

So good. First ate here on a food tour. The fish tacos were great. Learned that my life was missing unfiltered yuzu sake. Visited again for lunch and got some “small plates.†Definitely expected less but welcomed more food. The Mofu salad has no business being so delicious. I would eat more salad if they all tasted that good. Love the vegetarian/vegan selection.

Great addition to the Downtown Raleigh food scene! We loved all of our dishes, especially the pork dumplings and the kimchi fried rice balls. We were disappointed they were out of the chicken entree when we had dinner there, and had to get more appetizers instead of an entree. Prices are a fairly high, but quality and creativity of the dishes is solid, and portions are pretty good sized. Love their story from the food truck days, and we had the kindest waitress who we loved!

We used MOFU Shoppe as a hosting site for an event, and it was awesome. The space is beautiful and the staff was very hospitable and helpful. If you are looking for a space to have an event in, you should definitely look into using MOFU Shoppe!
