New Grand Chinese Kitchen

I remember when I first started visiting this restaurant back in the 80, the food was excellent, plentiful and reasonable, I don't know if the owner Retired, or got I'll, but that's when the restaurant did a whole 360. The food is still edible, but not the same quality. Now it seems like what they throw together is what u get. I always order pepper steak and chicken fried rice. For starts the amount of chicken in the fried rice is invisible, might as well order plain fried rice it's cheaper and the steak if I may call it that is very tough, but you do get a lot of peppers and onions, how big of a difference time makes, and the one on 87th and Dan Ryan is a big joke, bad customer service, non speaking English only when they want too, and not to mention how they add up your bill with the calculator, no price for each of the items on the bill, just the total, and they give no receipt. "I'm just saying" I visited there yesterday and it is no longer worth my 48 miles drive.

My family was coming here for years until one day I said I haven’t had it in a while , a year ago I order the lo mein noodles and orange chicken with a smoothie. Food was soo good ! I looked in the bag and seen a roach climb out . I was so disgusted , disappointed! I called the manager told me to return the food and the receipt. I got my money back but because I drunk some of my smoothie , I didn’t get my refund for it smh . Chinese ppl kill me , never had them since .

Amazing fried rice with chicken

food is decent if you have a tasted for late night shrimp fried rice..... I was a bit shocked coming in and paying to discover that they don't have a credit card machine!!! Their shrimp fried rice also didnt have bean sprouts which i love and shrimp fried rice.. but with siracha and soy sauce it work.

The decor was decent. Staff ok. Food beef and brocoli decent fried rice has me running to the bathroom as we speak about half way through the large rice portion and the last of the old grease that they must have sussed to fry this in has me puking I tasted the beef an brocoli and it was decent but I propabaly went eat here again maybe just a small beef and brocoli next time. Back to my diarrhea

Best chinese food n they give u good portions of food love they vegetable fried rice extra eggs n spicy n vegetable egg rolls delicious 😋

TL;DR: Sent both of my children to the hospital. Both of my toddlers have severe peanut allergies, but neither reacts to trace amounts. Cross-contact (poor kitchen practices, sharing a space with someone who has eaten peanuts) has never been an issue. They do just fine on the CTA, at public parks and libraries, and at friends’ houses. There’s a sign on the way in to mention allergies, suggesting some level of food allergy awareness. My husband mentioned the severe peanut allergy when ordering. Both of my children experienced severe allergic reactions. Not only did they almost die, their lives were shortened by the damage to their hearts and lungs and we will be paying thousands of dollars for their medical care. Food allergy families should avoid this restaurant.
