We are from out of town. We had fried chicken, hot dog, flounder, and BBQ meal and peach cobbler. Food was hot cobbler was cold Hush puppies were great. Cole slaw was decent. Fish was a bit under cooked on one piece. The rest was pretty good. I think we will come back and try it again. Cost was on point and good for large and small families.

Always pretty good. Especially if the baked beans are hot. Been coming here since I was 7, 8 years old. A city Gem.

Been eating here since the 60's great southern BBQ. Quick service friendly staff!

Questions & Answers

They will be closed until the repairs are completed. Could be six more months. I only go for the banana pudding.

When will you reopen

They have your basic Lexington style bb&q sauce. But you can get it without sauce and use what's on the table. I get it plane and use Texas Pete. I'm from eastern NC so I ain't a big fan of Barbecue around here. As far as slaw goes I always order the mayo slaw it is so so. And the potato salad is also so so. To much sugar for me. But this place is better than most

Since Bobby like eating burnt food give me his address I'll send them to him.Better yet I pray the next time you eat out they burn it an we'll see how much it worth to you.

I have frequented Mr. Barbecue regularly for many years and never experienced a burnt taste. You may have gotten an outside piece of meat that sometimes gets overcooked. The taste of the " Q " has always been excellent to me. Speak to management about the issue.
