First time @ this establishment. It was very nice inside, wide variety of options to select from off the menu. Food was great. The only thing I could say negatively about my visit was my waitress, she was an airhead. I am a little concerned because she appeared to have a new trainee by her side.

My sister's and I went to Mother's for a post Birthday dinner. We were seated quickly and our server was ready to take our order within 5 minutes. The biggest let down was the food. I ordered the chicken and sausage gumbo, which was salty, chicken was dry and there was no sausage in the dish. I asked the waiter for something lighter and she suggested the vegetable stir fry with chicken. I was really surprised by the flavor(tasted over powering) and the chicken was extremely dry, vegetables were thinly sliced which made the dish less filling. My sisters ordered the restaurant week special and that was less than amazing. Risotto was over cooked and wet and the chicken breast was bland. Overall we disliked our meals and wont be coming back.

Updating my review a bit. Stopped in here the other night with family from out of town. Sat at the bar, so service was fast, and friendly! We ordered from the Happy Hour and regular menu. The crab soup (half and half, or split level) was amazing! The Maryland crab had just enough spice that it wasn't bland and the cream soup had lumps of white crab meat- like it should! The Greek salad with chicken had just the right amount of tasty dressing and the grilled chicken was tender. I'd still like to say that the Pajama Brunch is still one of my favorite events. I'll just ask for less juice in my mimosas... ;-)
