Mitmita Ethiopian Restaurant

So wonderful - Athena was a joy. My friend and I enjoyed so much. We both had chicken sambusa to start with the honey Mead wine which was superb. Then she had lamb with collards and green beans and I had doro-wat with chicken and collards and red lentils. Everything was Devine. Thank you Mitmita, which I learned means spices. I will be back for fish or shrimp next time.

GREAT PLACE FOR VEGANS. Wish I had pics of the amazing food made by a very warm and welcoming woman. North Tampa needs a great Ethiopian place and this one will surely become a top spot in the near future. Definitely stop by and support this place so they can continue to cook this amazing food!

Authentic and absolutely delicious Ethiopian cuisine, at very reasonable prices. We loved the vegetarian sampler. Two of us couldn’t finish it! Try the honey wine.

Excellent food, very friendly service

We dined here on Tuesday night and were greeted by the warmest smile from the owners of the restaurant. The vegetarian sampler we ordered was delicious and spiced just right. Tasteful decorations are on the wall to add to the ambiance. We have been to many Ethiopian restaurants in US and this one is among one of the best.

I'm so happy to see a new Ethiopian restaurant in the Tampa Bay area. The food and service are A+. I went when they first opened and again last week. I live quite a distance away but it's worth the drive for sure and I'll be back again soon.

Food tastes decent but portions are on the smaller side. if you're hungry, you probably won't get filled with just one entree.

We are visiting town and wanted to have a special dinner since we love Ethiopian food. We were so hungry we called ahead and placed an order on the drive. Fantastic food and it was ready as soon as we were seated. The owners are lovely. We learned this is a new place in town. So lucky we found it. Can't wait to visit in the future.

What a wonderful restaurant. I’m so happy there is another option for Ethiopian food in Tampa. I grew up on Ethiopian food and this place is legit. I will definitely be back and I will bring friends so others can experience how good this restaurant is.

Good Food, Good Prices, Good People, & Nice Atmosphere.

Amazing Ethiopian food. So fresh tasting and flavorful. MUCH better than Queen of Sheba. The service was very friendly and quick. The prices are very affordable and the proportions and sides are awesome. This is a hole in the wall place worth stopping at! We will definitely be going back. I saw someone complaining that this place is dirty - I've been to much less clean hole in the wall places before. They do need an extra high chair or two, one is missing a strap.

I’m a fan of Ethiopian food, and was excited to try a new place. I Love love love Mitmita. The owner was so warm and kind. The food was very good and our party of three vegans ate very well. It’s exactly everything you expect in an Ethiopian restaurant. I’m sad that I’m not local or I’d be a regular! I’ll definitely hit it up when I’m in town.
