Mintwood Place

I went there with a couple of friend. The welcome were very good and happy. The staff were really carefully and friendly. The food and drink were amazing. I ordered a plate with egg, pork and potatoes. The taste and presentation were amazing too.

Chef Matt Cockrell with an amazing menu! We started with an assortment of nibbles that did not disappoint. The stand out was the Charcuterie Board: Selection of Cured Meats & Chicken Liver Mousse also amazing was the White Peach & Balsamic Soup, Goat Cheese, Crouton. The food was simply fresh and clean, which took American fare to another level. We pretty much tried the whole menu but the real stand outs of the evening were the Branzino, Pearl Couscous, Tomato and the Tagliatelle Bolognese, Pecorino with an honorable mention to the Wood-Grilled, Dry-Aged Bacon Cheeseburger, Fries. But for me the Branzino was the superstar of the show. Light, buttery, and so much flavor, would definitely order that dish again. Overall the staff was friendly, the atmosphere was lively yet quiet enough to hold a conversation; ideal for a small dinner party or a date night.This restaurant will definitely be added to our GO TO list whenever we are in the city! Can't wait to try Brunch ....

Delicious and great service. My burger was a little cold this last time, which is out of the ordinary. Typically everything is top notch.

This place is everything!! I'm a picky eater; was never a fan of French food, but they changed my mind. The waitress Ryan is such a sweetheart. His recommendations are very honest and trust worthy. So If he says this is good, please believe it! He let me know this is basically French comfort food. There was nothing I disliked, from the drinks, to the appetizer, my meal, and even dessert. I tried medium well for the first time, and I have now been converted! This is the first time I can say me going to a restaurant was an experience. If u want happy hour, it's strictly at the bar. You have to get there when doors open. We got there at 6/6:30 Fri night, and it was full. The ambiance is nice and cozy, matching the theme of what's served. What I really appreciate is, the service isn't rushed after your meal. Most restaurants will rush you to leave when you finish eating, but not these folks. They deserve every great review they received in the newspaper. I will definitely go again.

Great food and service! Salt cod croquettes, beet and burrata salad all great starters. The chicken entree is off the charts. Fabulous wine list as well.

Mintwood has great food in a casual atmosphere. The service is always great and they do a nice happy hour with discount cocktails and food in the bar area. Great neighborhood place to grab a bite to eat and relax.

Love the cheese; don't get the latte. Other brunch food is delicious. Service is excellent. Definitely going back (in fact, I've already been back).

This was our second go at the place and we found the experience to be relatively average for the great restaurant scene that DC has. Nothing was bad, but neither was anything really standout, especially at the price point. We had mussels, which were rather bland, and the flammekeuche, which was unimpressive. The wine was a $10 bottle marked up to $40, which is expected, but usually that stings a bit less when the food wows us. Service was quite good, however, and the experience was overall fine.

Me and my bf love this place for the first time, great food and services. My favorite is Kale salad-very recommended. Plus, strawberry shortcake is the best for dessert-not too sweet.

Great brunch!

Great food great price. In terms of value this place is great. The food rivals if not exceeds much more expensive restaurants as do the staff. The waiters know their wine and always seem to push me in the right direction on what to get. Ive been here probably close to if not over 50 times. The atmosphere is fantastic. I highly recommend it as a date spot as it's got the right balance of elements and charm.

Good food, good service, good drinks. Bartender was nice and helpful. They have a good alcohol selection at fair prices. Highly recommend.

Nice cozy place, good for a romantic date night. The food was great and they have good service. My favorite dish was the beef tartar.
