Please STOP ! Please STOP calling these pastries "French" as they are everything but French. I bought four macarons and a millefeuille (also known in the US as a Napoleon) and everything was horrible. The macarons were oversweet and barely tasted like the fruits or flavors they claimed to be made of. Total waste of money and major dissapointment. The millefeuille/Napoleon was a scam : this pastry is supposed to be made with a pastry cream (milk, egg yolks, vanilla or rhum) but Bilboquet seems like they have decided to save quite a bit and are using some weird cream made of white chocolate. The puff pastry was neither buttery nor airy but dense and tastless. The whole thing was gross and went straight to the garbage. Shame on you for using cost cutting shortcuts and damaging this centuries old old beautiful art of French pastry : respect the recipes, use the finest ingredients or call whatever you are selling something else !

Thank you for once again serving a lovely meal by lovely people. I have dined with Bilboquet since they were a small bistro across from the Lowell Hotel, and even though they have grown up a lot, they have never lost their high standards.

One of my favorite places to celebrate something. The service is great - so French but without the attitude - and it goes from being a sophisticated upscale restaurant with great art on the walls to a fun dance club when they bring out big bottles of rosé with sparklers to sing you happy birthday...then goes right back.
