Restaurants in the Times Square/Broadway area are understandably disastrously full around showtimes, but Real Kung Fu really seems to handle it worst than most.Once you get in, though, you do get solid, authentic Shanghainese food. We ordered across the menu and didn't find any problem items. Certainly a good restaurant, if you can stand the wait.

When it comes to flavor they deliver, everything tastes as good as it looks and the prices are decent. I went on a Sunday and it was pretty full, people are constantly coming in and out, the venue is small but cozy. I wish I could've stayed longer but it's more of an eat-and-run kind of place. The staff is attentive and courteous and the fried pork buns worth a thousand minutes of wait. I tried steamed buns, fried buns, pancake and steak, as well as hand cut fried noodles and all the items were delicious. But for me the fried buns were the best!

Best noodles I’ve ever had - the hand cut noodles. The flavor in the soup buns is unbelievable. A new favorite here.

Great little place for ramen. Stir fry and steamed pork buns. Some of the dim sum takes 20 min but worth the wait. Not alot of seating so you may wait a bit. They absolutely will not sit you unless everyone from party is there. Nice little edamane dish while you look over menu. The duck was incredible. Not a bad dish so far.

I liked the veggie steamed buns and stir fried ramen. Only complaint is the lack of greens in the stir fry. I wish it had more vegetables.

Best chinese ramen in NYC. I have been trying to find a place with good beef ramen and have been unsuccessful until today when I tried Real Kung Fu. It is full of flavour and the noodles are firm and soft. Can't wait to go back and try the xiao long baos!

Everything was great. The ~15 minute wait was worth it. Warning: the ramen soup portions are enormous!

The soup dumplings were much better than Joe's Shanghai! Their shredded beef was spicy and amazing! I did give 4 stars because the 18 percent gratuity was added automatically for a party of 2. The waiter did drop a dish on me and although she apologized, it would have reduced my tip amount. The service was not very attentive. I'll be going back for the food.

Very delicious ramen broth! I got the spicy beef ramen. Pretty good value for the amount of food you get, especially in this area. The noodles were fresh and hand pulled and the dish had plenty of beef. The bowl had a really nice amount of spicy to it too. We also had the pig ears dish. Classic Chinese dish and nicely cooked and marinated. The chili oil on the table is also flavorful and packs a good bit of heat too. Small place but overall great!
