Kellari Taverna NY

Very fine restaurant. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is amazing!I took the Paidakia and Faroe island solomos (Lamb and bass)The food is very tasty and theres a Kellari Burger for children too!I recommend this place for everybody that want to pay for real food!

Good food but terrible service. If you visit here during rush you will "enjoy" long wait times for your food. At 1:15pm on a Friday I sat at the bar (party of 1) and waited 45 minutes for my appetizer to arrive. No one came over to apologize, expedite, or otherwise manage the situation. The couple next to me who ordered just before I did received their four(!) dishes and finished them while I waited for my one. On another occasion our party came early and was served promptly because the place was almost empty. Once the lunch rush started, however, our waiter disappeared and it took forever to get the check. For the price it just isn't worth the hassle and frustration.

Reaaaaally good greek food, their lamb shank is cooked for 4 hours and tastes amaaaaazing!!!! Really good appetizers too.

High-end Greek but sometimes I wish for regular simple Greek fares.

The atmosphere was good!Service was good!Food not really!We ordered Mahi it was tasteless,also chips and it was so oily! The salad had no seasoning at oil!And it's pricey!Solid 3/5 / -2 stars for the food quality/seasoning /

We eaten here many times. We had dinner last night. Service was so slow and inattentive. It took us 12 minutes to get the olive oil we requested. Dinner took almost an hour, and then my halibut was barely warm when it arrived. And then, I woke up this morning with what appears to be food poisoning. We are taking a break from Kellari for a while.

Such hospitality. We came as they just were closing but they still welcomed us at the bar. Was given several tastings of ozo and decided on one. The ambiance was wonderful and the owner himself came to chat with us. Definitely recommend this place just for the staff and hospitality.

The environment was great and the food was good. There was a heavy seafood focus to the point where they had fish on ice on display when you walk in. We sat in the back at a beautiful wood-slab table that our group of 12 could all fit at easily. The service was professional although a little pushy. They serve their wine well and they have reasonable lunch prices, but the meal did take a while so be aware if you have any meetings right after lunch. We ended the meal with dessert and coffee. Greek coffee is not for me, I guess. Its thick and you can feel the coffee grounds in your mouth. At the bottom of espresso cup its a sludge of coffee grounds by the end.

I did not like their dessert but hey I am a very picky eater. You should try their potatoes , it well seasoned and tastes really good. Our host was really great!

We went on a Sunday. Energy was low. Food was very good. Liked our server but we wished for more atmosphere.

Great Mediterranean food with okay service. Lovely fresh seafood and a fabulous greek salad.

I constantly come grabbing some food in this place. I liked the prompt customer service and well made food. They never disappoint.
