Kafe Leopold
About

Forget all the cliches about heavy Austrian fare served by waiters in lederhosen. Leopold is about as Euro trendy as it gets, with an all-day coffee and drinks bar, an architecturally hip dining space, and a chic little patio complete with a minifountain. Food is pared-down Mitteleuropean: mushroom tart, crisp schnitzel paired with peppery greens, an endive salad with mustard dressing. In the middle of a design-obsessed alley just off of M Street, the cafe draws an artsy city crowd that's content to sit and watch the scene evolve, just as it's done in Europe. Brunch is a particularly popular setting for such people-watching manna, and the neat-as-a-pin breakfast is available daily until 4 pm. The perfect oasis for breakfast, lunch, dinner or anything in between. They have a very respectable wine list that compliment all the dinner specials. Reservations are taken for dinner only, starting at 5pm.

This used to be a nice place with good service. Whoever runs this place now needs to retrain all the service personnel, they have now, on how to do their job efficiently with attention to customers. It seems as workers are just lost. The desserts are still good though.

What a great way to start the New Year! (BTW, happy new year my review readers!)... I have to come back to establishment. The café is located in the heart of beautiful Georgetown, surrounded by stone roads and lush gardens where you can sit in their outside patio. Really great food! And amazing dessert. I had their Opera!! Super delicious not super sweet, but just right! Also enjoyed their green tea ðŸµ. I loved their tea-pot and honey setup for me. And their dark chocolate treat at the end of my stay.

A beautiful European bistro serving a delicious selection of foods and drinks. Hidden in a cute, upscale alley in Georgetown, this restaurant is definitely one of the top ones in DC. I personally love their kale salad 🥗, the flavor is quite refreshing and it's a must every time I visit. The potato soup (seasonal) is also quite tasty and the Käsespätzle (spinach dumplings) is great for all you vegetarians out there. Overall, a wonderful dining experience and highly recommended.
