I Love the Happy Goat! A great place, great coffee.. I love thier sandwiches too. Very cozy and warm ambiance. The staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this cafe.

Eclectic spot in a mostly industrial zone with excellent coffee and pastries (including Suzy Q Donuts). Some comfortable armchairs, tables for the working stiffs, and a bright patio out front. Staff are always full of energy and friendly. Excellent coffee roasted on site.

It's a business, Dina. If in Europe it is fine it perhaps because the number of customers "not Ok" with pets around them ( for whatever reasons, psychological or health) is way less. I'm a pet owner and I love pets but I know many "paying customers" who are not. Many are allergic. They basically avoid going to places where pets are allowed, and that's not good for the business itself. Simple: either your pet or a paying customer:)
