Great Northern BBQ Co.

So glad I finally stopped in. I had driven by a thousand times, always forgot when I was thinking of a place to go. My wife and I stopped in, and it was great. Such a cool setting. A great outdoor patio, super cool decor, great service, and the food was excellent. We just wanted something easy. We had tacos to start, very good size. The order comes with two, and they were the perfect app. My wife had a rice bowl, and I had a special, a chorizo hot dog. Both were really, really good. The bartenders were very good, and very knowledgeable in regards to the menu, and drinks. A great beer list, and fun craft cocktails. Can't wait to go back!

I ordered the brisket sandwich. Very good. Wings are excellent. Service was good. No problems there but my issue is where are the traditional sides. BBQ beans, corn bread, Mac and cheese. They do have been a but they’re different. They’re not great but it doesn’t taste bad at all but who orders a full bowl of beans and for $9 at that. It’s just unnecessary. Make it a side to an order instead of salad. It just doesn’t make sense. They have great bbq sauce but they charged me $2 for 2 sides 🙄😒 c’mon. Let’s do better. I’d like to eat here often but I can’t due to they’re menu choices.

Food is amazing, but it's cold inside!

It is a very cozy place. The food is delicious, it has a unique flavor. They have a menu of beers and wines somewhat different from those of other places, I tried several beers, and each one was better than the previous one. When I arrived at the place I saw something small, but after a moment, I was pleasantly surprised with the attention, food and drinks. I would definitely go back to that place!

Had my third great dinner here with family and friends last weekend. The large BBQ platter and two sides is a feast for 4-5 people. Not your traditional southern style spot by any means, but the wings, pulled pork, beans, and mac and cheese were especially tasty. Will be back again soon.

60 bucks for that platter and we took some home. Awesome gem on the west end.

One of, if not, the best bbq around. I usually split the medium or huge platter with a couple friends and still have a lot left over.

Stellar service! Super chill place with great BBQ. A bit sweet for me personally but great food even so. Nice platters to split so you can get a bit of everything.

I'm from NC and this place is actually pretty decent. Might take the cake for best bbq in Providence.

Great food friendly staff

I'll often get a craving for BBQ. It's usually after I binge watch BBQ Pit Masters. It's really hard to find good BBQ in RI. The ambience was nice, and the beer was good. We ordered the medium sampler with a side of baked beans. Most of meat was cooked perfectly. The ribs were fall off the bone, the brisket was really tender and I even dare to say almost the best wings I've ever had. So why not a full 5 stars? It was too dark in there, the service was a little slow, the sausage was gross, the side of beans were canelli which threw me off, and the sauce was not to my liking. I ordered the sticky sweet sauce, but it was more like a loose tangey sauce. I'd go back again, but maybe sneak in some of my own BBQ sauce?! Like I said, not many good BBQ options around here.
