The Oysters Rockefeller were the best part of our meal and (unfortunately) the only highlight of the evening. We had 3 different servers (one without a mask), waited for bread refills, and the entrees were generic, lacked polish, and were way overpriced for what they were. Our server also neglected to tell us that a Caesar salad was a $4 upcharge (despite a salad coming with each entree) until after we got our bill.

The atmosphere is five star, yet the selections affordable. It is upbeat, abounding with friendly, intelligent and positive people. The wine list is impressive and the staff courteous and knowledgeable. And the cuisine is scrumptious ! When you are ready to pop The Question, take her to Giovanni's.

I work at the bank were Edonna does business; she invited me to the restaurant and the rest was history! Food is amazing. Ambiance is amazing. Service was amazing. I had the salmon in pasta and vodka sauce. Omg!!! Will definitely be returning. ❤️

My friends and I had a 4 top reservation for NYE. We were sat promptly, but remained ungreeted for over 20 minutes. The dining room was full, and the staff appeared overwhelmed, so we looked past it. We waived down the nice host for menus and missing place settings. The next table's server came over and said he'd go find our server for us. It was apparent the entire time that he was our server, but we just went with it. He returned and asked if we "knew what we wanted"; no introduction, no drink order, no nightly specials. We gave him our entire food order and expected him to come back for our drink order, which is backwards, but we wanted to give him a chance. So after 15 minutes, we walked to the busy bar, where we were helped with no issue. We also saw our server waiting at the kitchen window . Had he spent 2 minutes of that time maintaining our table, or at least making himself visible, we would have not had an issue. Another 15 minutes go by, and a host brings out the wrong appetizer to the table (we ordered mussels and oysters, she brought cheesesticks). She insisted that we enjoy it while she figured out what was going on. Another patron brought the mussels, but the oysters were still missing. 1/2 the table's salads were brought out before the oysters arrived. No refills were offered, and we shared a little chuckle with the adjacent table because one of their guests refilled his own non alcoholic beverage. A very helpful server came over just to say hello, and ask how things were in general. We shared our concern with her because we had other plans approaching - at this point, we were there for almost 2 hours with no entrees. She said she couldn't find management, then went further say that she checked with our server, who had no idea what our entree order was. Our server that we hadn't seen for an hour, walked out with food in-hand, and placed it on our table. Unfortunately, it wasn't ours, so he gathered the entrees and delivered them to the next table. He aggressively claiming that he was management, saying the kitchen was overwhelmed, and asked with a very dismissive tone, "if we wanted the food or not?" Between my husbands 10 plus years of BOH experience, my 20 years of FOH management experience, and our co-guests current tenure as a bar manager in formal establishemnt...we saw right through his excuses. He was in the weeds and had zero accountability for that. Management not following up or doing table touches was also odd. The mussels were splendid, and the oysters were great! Our table probably would have been his best tip of the night given our collective backgrounds, and the fact that it was a holiday. We were told by the helpful server that we could leave, and our apps were comp'ed, but we really wanted to pay for them so it wouldn't be reduced to us wanting a free meal. We had already bought our own drinks from the bar, so the only thing left to comp were the 2 apps since our food never made it. The bottom line is this was a shared fail; 90% from the server, and the rest on management because on a night like NYE, it's their duty to make themselves visible as well. These issues were avoidable. I gave the helpful server the cash in my pocket for her efforts; she deserved more, but I spent my cash when I had to get up and get my own drink at the bar. I wished the service matched the food. We don't live close, so we won't be back. It's not worth rolling the dice and hoping to get good service.

I absolutely love this place not because I play piano there and sing for them... Something about it feels like home. If you happen to visit Giovanni's, you have a great experience!

Tonight was my first and last time dining here. I had heard such great things so I made a 7pm reservation.i arrived early due to wasn't sure where it was. No hostess st the stand. I waited for 10 minutes while the bar tenders, servers and other employees never asked if I had been help. Not a good look. Hostess finally came over and she was rude. She tried to sit me outside which was extremely crowded I said I don't want to sit out there it's too crowded. she numbed something and said it is more crowded in here but whatever.That was a lie. She directed me to a booth and said is this fine and slammed menus down. Server was nice but service was very slow. The hostess allowed my friend to wait 10 min when she arrived as well. also rude to her. I had the salmon entree it was burnt and swimming in some kind of water type tomato sauce and steamed veggies. combined with house salad none worth $24 my friend had Chickem Parmigana and laughed because she said it was a frozen chicken patty. I hate paying $36 dollars with the tip for below mediocre food, slow service and hostess who made me want to walk out to begin with. 😫

We had been wanting to try this place for some time. It always has a good crowd so we were expecting a nice time. What we got was a comedy of errors and issues which really left a bad taste in our mouths. They were having a music event in the outdoor area that night and I think it was safe to say they were a bit overwhelmed. We had to wait 10 minutes to get anyone to come to the servers station while watching numerous staff walk by. We finally got seated and found they had a limited menu. Disappointing but understandable with the crowd. The food was good but not good enough to justify the prices. Service was pretty good but we had to ask twice to get part of my wife's meal served. Next, they brought me back the wrong credit card which we had to get sorted. The icing on the cake was going out to our car to find they had let someone park right behind us blocking us in. We had to almost be ugly about getting the person to move their car. The net effect was that we won't be going back. Had their not been the concert it probably would have been better but first impressions are strong.

I couldn't tell you how the food was because we never got a table. We were told it would be a 40 minute wait when we got there. After an hour, we asked if our table would be ready soon. We were told would be. In the next 20 minutes we saw 2 other parties who had come after us get seated. When we asked about it, we were told our table was"almost ready". I understand it was a busy weekend, but that's just poor hosting. We left.

Hmmm... nice atmosphere, Friday night 8pm and 3 tables occupied... ok wine list. Linguine and clam sauce flavorless. Add on gorgonzola salad small and routine for $8. Slow service... Slow bar... Maybe a bad night for them...

We love the atmosphere and the food here. Great place to bring friends from out of town or have a quiet business dinner. Chef is very flexible and creative.

I had the chicken Florentine. It was excellent. Also the tiramisu was great!! The waitstaff was very friendly and kept my husbands tea glass full!! We hadn't been there in quite a while but after tonight that will change

Poor quality, poor presentation . Calamari appetizer was the smallest portion I’ve ever seen - 8 pieces. My veggie dish looked old . Place is nice, server did her best; but we left our food ; didn’t even take it home. I expected more for the price . We are local , but probably won’t return.

Stopped here for a late night dinner. Staff was amazing! Food was amazing! The bread with the dipping sauce is by far the best I've had! I highly recommend trying them out!

We celebrated our kids’ college graduation this evening. Our service was impeccable (Jennifer). The staff was attentive, bread continuously refilled, glasses never empty, patience with our large group was appreciated, and the food was delicious. We will definitely return when we are in the area again, thank you for making our evening remarkable.

Great food and atmosphere. I would highly recommend. Most people see this place as a fine dining or special event only place but you can go here anytime without breaking the bank depending on what you want to order
