Great place BUT two individuals in our party was served meat and seafood that was not good. The manager came over and personally apologized and did not charge us for our food, which was very nice. He assured us that he will review his entire stock of meat and meet with the chef. He earned my respect for that. I still recommend the place trusting that that there will not be repeat of that issue.

Outstanding lunch - $50 for one person with tip, but the food & service were both great. I hadn't been there in several years and I really enjoyed it. Seafood is expensive anywhere so you might as well go to a place that does it well! The Shrimp Gumbo & Shrimp Peques were outstanding!

From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was absolutely delicious. I had truffle fries, Rockefeller oysters, crawfish asiago fettuccine, and bread pudding. I LOVED it all. The only thing I didn't do was make reservations which became a 2hr wait so make sure to reserve a table ahead of time!

Love this place. Staff is fantastic and the food is really good! Lovely old classy seafood restaurant on the water. Well, across the street, but views are good. Fresh seafood, Golden Tile fish was amazing. The red snapper was lightly pan seared with Parmesan coating. Perfect. Bread pudding served with “Hey Mikey’s” ice cream is the perfect way to end your meal. A seafood classic restaurant 👍🏼

Great food and great service. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it. If you are looking for great seafood, this is the place.

I don't know what kind of magic recipes they have, but their food is just amazing, so flavorful and fulfilling. Their desserts are also really good, you should definitely try them.

Where do I start?! My husband and I plan our entire vacation to Galveston around what night we go to Gaidos! This place never disappoints! The food is so good the seafood, the steaks, the calamari all of it! When you first walk in take time to explore all the history along the walls and in the cases. The service is always spot on and it’s just an old school vibe here, like the places I used to go to with my parents as a child for a big night out. It’s just a sentimental, wonderful experience and a foodie heaven! I have experimented with my ordering options and never regretted anything I order! It’s always a treat and a special visit. We can’t wait to come back in a few months for our Gaidos fix!

We thought that we would try this establishment out and after reading reviews felt it was a good idea. We were not let down. The drinks were good and strong and the food was cooked correctly. Not over cooked, not under seasoned not uncooked. Flavorful and hearty. Felt great. It being our anniversary, we hit it out the park with this restaurant for dinner. Thank you all and keep up the standard.

The food was very tasty and beautiful, but my server was very forgetful and negligent of my spouse and I. The food is very expensive for a small portion. I would recommend going to Katie's Seafood instead because you'll get a delicious portion worth what you pay for it.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Galveston. It has a very unassuming exterior, but the inside looks spectacular. There is even a wall of hand-cut, lead crystal that sparkles as you walk by. The food is delicious, as the chefs are culinary masters. You won't be disappointed.

I came from Utah, and my girlfriend lives around here and took me on our first date in the Houston area here. Service was phenomenal and so was the food. Restaurant is beautiful and has very nice bathrooms, and even fully packed like the night we went out it isn't overly loud and busy. Great atmosphere. We sat at the corner of the bar and watched the kitchen do their thing. If you ask me: has to be one of the best seats in the house back there.

Friendly service at this fancy popular restaurant. Make a reservation. Of the baked oysters, I enjoyed the Rockefeller the best. Asparagus was also perfectly cooked. Notice the lineage of professionally trained owners. My guess is that the mom is to the right and the sons are to her left. Come and enjoy a beautiful sunset.

I’ve always been a Gaidos guy ever since I started coming to Galveston when I was old enough to drive there. Forgive my pics, as this is just the to go stuff during the quarantine, but I’ve always wanted to share how much I love this place. I wish I had pictures of the dining room as it’s absolutely beautiful with an ocean view. Gaidos handles the quarantine pickup like total patriots. Everything handled quickly with a smile. As long as I come to Galveston, I’ll always make my stop at Gaidos on a Saturday night.
