Such a hidden gem in Upper Dupont. One of the below the radar places for Bistro Italian in DC proper. This is a nice independently-run restaurant. Owner Dino Tapper took over the reigns of Floriana from his mother (who's 1st name is the name of the venue), and has continued the success of restaurant. ** FOOD **: Rustic Italian. Their in-house Pastas especially are quite good, but the other entree dishes aren't slouches (such as Muscovy Duck Breast, Pan-Seared Salmon, or Sea Scallops). There's winners on each dining course. Plating and service here is quite good as well. Entree prices vary between $19 - upper 20s.
