Flakowitz Bagel Inn

Great place to go if you want to get yelled at by irate staff.Came here with a friend after strongly suggesting we eat here because the food is great. After placing an order at the take-out window, we were told to move to the other window to pay, where we waited. Another lady opened the window and yelled at us in a crude manner to step away from the window, despite us doing as told. They didn't explain that we would pay after we receive our food, which is bizarre and opposite to every other take-out experience I've had at other restaurants. The other customers waiting at the take-out window were also confused and very uncomfortable with her behavior. I also observed the same lady coughing into gloved hands, right in front of me. Only wishful thinking suggests that she changes her gloves. I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon. This was nothing short of an embarrassing experience.

Flakowitz has been my go to Bagel & more spot since it opened! Hands down best local feel deli around! For over 25 years their quality, staff, and consistency keeps me coming back!

We came here on a Sunday afternoon so they were relatively busy. We put our name down for the wait and we’re seated within 20 minutes. Not bad for a busy day! Our server came up to our table and we were ready to order. I got the nova, cream cheese, bagel combo and my friend got the tuna and bagel. We eat got a coffee and OJ. The coffee was pretty good and the OJ came in a bottle, which was nice. The bagels we nicely toasted and my nova cake with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, capers, pickles and coleslaw. Everything was delicious. I would have liked more lox, but it was a fair amount for the price. Our server saw when we were ready and dropped off the check letting us know there was no rush. Overall, great experience and delicious food. Would love to come back here and try some of their breakfast and more sandwiches.
