First time I ever had a tamale and it was amazing. Chicken, this time. The tamale lunch special was filling, but quite cheap. The salsa in both mild and spicy tasted unique. Even the rice and beans were great--the BEANS! I've never cared about beans, but one spoon of the rice or of the beans will get you digging in for more. Gotta come here again to try something else.

Great service! Went there around 2 pm. Almost no one was there, so the service was very fast. Ordered two dozen tamales, and they were to our table almost instantly. Down side of going in the afternoon is there was less availability of different kinds of tamales. Only had regular and spicy pork. Still very good! Salsa had a great flavor. The hot was perfect. Not overbearing, and the salsa Verde had a little bit of kick. When going here, highly suggest calling in your order ahead of time. They can make any of their tamales if you call 1 hour ahead.

This is a little family-owned Mexican restaurant. I have been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years. Authentic Mexican food their specialty is tamales. I order a breakfast dish with scrambled eggs tortillas and cheese...it comes with beans and rice and your choice of tortillas. Everybody gets a cookie when they're done. The main road they are on called Bagley is currently under construction. The new road looks like it's going to be possibly a pedestrian-only pathway. It looks fantastic. The businesses are still open while the street is under construction. It should be done sometime early December 2019.

I have been eating and enjoying Evies 32 years !!! Excellent food and service! I have watched 3 generations of great service . They need to raise there prices all Mexican restaurants around them are much higher! You can see as the saying goes a lot of blood, sweat , tears , commitment, dedication has been put into that restaurant. The food is absolutely fantastic, I can not believe the prices are still so low ! My suggestion is that I would at least raise the dinners by $1 check out s Mexican restaurants around you and there menu prices ...
