Stayed at the bar - fantastic whiskey selection and an amazing offer on a Wagyu burger (only 14 bucks at the bar)Staff were amazing and even the owner made me feel like a part of the family. Excellent decor and a really well kept and super clean place.Top place in NYC to go!

This is a great steak restaurant with wonderful service. It is located at the Hotel Kimberly which is a recommended place as well. The manager is friendly and inviting. We believe this is one of the best steakhouses in NYC. We love Peter Luger's and Keen's. But this place ranks up there with these best of places.

This was the best restaurant we went to while in NYC by far!! I called the night of xmas eve to make reservations and they took us right away which was shocking because everyone was already overbooked. The food was incredible and the service was amazing!! They had a special menu for Christmas and it was delicious! Steaks were cooked perfectly. This was a very pricey dinner but it was worth every penny

This was a fantastic steak. The NY Strip might have been the best I've ever had. Tender and juicy, and they've also proven they can cut it better than me! We only had the potatoes (excellent) for sides, so I can't comment on that much, but everything we had was great, including the service. Prepare to pay for what you get, typical NYC pricing.

I sent my friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I go their often. This recommendation is always successful. The meals are tasty and the stuff is efficient and cooperative. Every time we go to this place we have a lovely time. I recommend this place with pleasure.

It was an interesting dining experience for me. I made the reservation via Opentable and was running late. First in was greeted by hostess then who I assumed was the Maitre d. Then I had first waiter with Menu, then 2 with water and bread, then another came to ask if I had been asked what type water I needed. I ordered a glass of wine (the first waiter), then placed meal order from another of the 2, then salad order was delivered by 4th waiter and the entree by a 5th. One of the water bread 2 closed the check. So I was served technically by seven persons.Despite those many servers they managed to get the order mostly right and ensured my glass was always topped up. I think the tomato and mozzarella salad could have had a little more than the tiny bits or basil. The steak was done just right (I ordered medium well). So after the march of servers I would say you should give it a try.

Really can't overstate what a great experience it was dining at the Empire. From the minute you walk in, the grand yet welcoming ambiance (as you might expect given the design plays into the location's roots as a dance hall with orchestra) impresses. The service is top notch and Deca, the manager, went out of his way to ensure our experience was beyond satisfactory. The needs of everyone at our table were accommodated flawlessly. And the steak was done to perfection, neither overcooked nor excessively seasoned, as were all of the side dishes. But save room for dessert as their tiramisu is well worth it!Here's hoping the current restaurant ban will lift soon, as we were very fortunate to have been able to visit beforehand and Empire deserves to be enjoyed to the fullest!

Came here for restaurant week for a friend's birthday. It was one of the few steak restaurants that actually had steak on their restaurant week prix fixe menu. Everything on that menu was actually really good too compared to bare bones of other places. And the portions are still large regardless of prix fixe. Everything was absolutely delicious! And the servers were all so nice and super friendly. You know how some restaurants come off pretentious? Well this one is not. Everyone was fabulous. Would def love to dine here again.

Food was delicious and service was above par. I was not aware when offered water, it was $10 bottled water from Italy. Emperors Steak was decadent! $14.50 for 6 asparagus spear, not so much. If I make it back, I will know better.

I really enjoyed the food. The meat was delicious and the mac and cheese just amazing.

Loved our Holiday Party at Empire Steak House. Atmosphere was cool and swanky. The service was impeccable and the food was as good as it gets. Our steak for 3 was delicious. Can't wait to go back with family and friends.

I felt out of place, and the aesthetic is very old timey. The women's restroom was fine? I guess? It's got high-vaulted ceilings and clearly dated paintings on the wall. One caught my eye - a Louis Armstrong type playing his horn for the elites.My date and I had the thanksgiving day special. 75 per person, 4 course meal. There was this butternut squash soup I had, ITS INCREDIBLE. The prices are a bit high so I'd suggest that special events are ideal for this place. It's geared towards a certain demographic I don't find I am a part of, and that's okay! Still really nice vibes, and the wait staff was excellent.

i came for the 13.95 wagyu burger. its good but i didn't feel a huge difference with normal burgers. i asked for medium rare and it came out medium to medium well. cheese was an extra 1.5 which i wasn't warned ahead of time. still the staff are very nice and the ambiance is even nicer. i recommend trying at least once!

We really enjoyed our dinner. They took really good care of us. Even though we were there for restaurant week the menu was excellent and the service e was great
