Duke's Chowder House Kent Station

Day/Time: Saturday around 8pmFood Ordered:Baby Crabby Prawn Cocktail Hannah’s Halibut Quesadilla Clam Chowder Lobster Mobster Chowder Food was delicious! Atmosphere is cool. Waiter and hostess were friendly and welcoming. The place was not crowded and we were seated right away. The food was expensive for the serving sizes. It would get 5 stars if the food was more reasonably priced.

Duke's always does a great job serving up quality seafood. I have never had a bad experience at this location. Even when my family has been in a hurry to get to an event or a movie, the staff has done a very professional job taking care of everything. My favorites are the traditional fried fish, fries and coleslaw with a bowl of chowder on the side.

There chowder is the best, a little spice and they add bacon. I had it in the bread bowl. The down side and the reason for losing a star is clam chowder in a bread bowl with ice tea add tax and a tip you have a$30.00 lunch. It's a really good lunch but not worth that much.

The chowder was nasty but I profess I really appreciate good chowder. The staff double charged my card and made me continue to call until the head manager was upset that I didn't know what was going on and told me it's no big deal. Whatch your cards closely as this appears to be a scam.

My husband and I went there for lunch today to celebrate Valentine’s Day. It’s a bit pricey for lunch, but the food is good and we were celebrating our love. It’s close to my husband’s work so we’ve been there lots. The service today was deplorable. We got there at 1:00 and were seated right away. We ordered a clam appetizer and then lunch off the specials menu. The clams took awhile to get there, but ok maybe the kitchen was a little backed up. Our lunches never came. At 1:40 my husband went and found our waiter to see what was going on. The waiter never came back to our table. At 1:50 we’d had enough, my husband needed to get back to work. He asked the hostess for the check for the clams so we could leave. She ignored us. We finally just left enough cash for what we thought would cover the clams and left, still very hungry. It will be a long time before we go back there.

I'm from San Francisco where I thought we had the greatest seafood chowder in the world. It doesn't even come close to dukes. Dukes has the best chowder I've ever had. And then I tried the blue cheeseburger, just juicy succulent and amazing.

Waitress was amazing and the manager was kind. But the kitchen staff made fun of me for not knowing their menu really well and the food was “ok” at best. There are other seasoning besides pepper. Atmosphere was really nice on the other hand, and the store is super clean. I’m going to just assume it was an off day

"Duke's proudly boasts that they are the best at Happy Hours, which may be true depending on what you're looking for. I ended up here because my dad really enjoyed his chowder and told me that they actually have a pretty good vegetarian selection.From a veggie standpoint, I prefer the full menu over the happy hour menu, but I can definitely see why people would love happy hour here - there's a very nice selection of mostly seafood centric stuff (which, lets be honest, is what you came for!).There are many places for happy hour, and this one should be on your list!"

I am addicted to the "Un"chopped salad. The combination of grilled shrimp, scallops, nuts, and avocado are simply delectable. The service is great. However, the price is a bit high for my budget.

The menu here is seafood based and is always a hit. We just know we will be pleased with our meal. This time the food, and the service, was phenomenal. (So good in fact I bought a $50 cookbook in an attempt to recreate the meal when not in Seattle.) We had the salmon crostini for the first, but won’t be the last time, and was very pleased to learn a new dish to serve to our guests.

Worst clam chowder I have ever had and the worst part 1 cup of chowder was $17.90 $20 with tax. Ridiculous not even in downtown Seattle or any place in Oregon have I ever paid 17 dollars for a cup of chowder and it wasn't even good. I will never be back or recommend to anyone.

Dukes is delicious! Great drinks and wonderful service. Everything is fresh and cooked to your liking. Here you can enjoy some of the best clams in the NW and mouthwatering crusted and stuffed Halibut. Located in the middle of Kent commons just outside of the AMC, Dukes will not disappoint. Great for happy hour, appetizers or dinner, this place is delicious!

Excellent service, food was really good and clean restaurant

Myself being from the East Coast Florida to be precise had to come and check out one of the best seafood restaurants in the great state of Washington. I started the meal with two appetizers a Dungeness crabby deviled egg and a baby crabby prawn cocktail first of all I love deviled eggs but I never would have thought to put crab meat on top in 2 bites it was gone when I get back to Florida I'm going to have to try this. Then I tried the baby crabby prawn cocktail that special Bloody Mary sauce gave it so much flavor Then I had the Heavenly halibut, my hats off to the chef so moist and delicious when I return I think I'm going to have to have it again
