The Caesar salad was reinvented, and not for the better: the dressing was anything but Caesar, no croutons, "fried" anchovies, seriously? Bib lettuce?? Even stranger.. very disappointed. A staple that does not need reinventing! The miso glazed cod was a baked cod over rice soup, bland and unsavory.. The chef did not taste the food before serving it or there was no chef at the kitchen. Will definitely not come back during the week. Perhaps it is better on weekends. Stay tuned. Following up on the owners comment: To the owner! Loved your reply! 😳100% defensive : you failed twice, 1-trying to serve enjoyable food. 2: not being able to accept your failure. Grow up man, the client is what keeps you in business. Your food is not enjoyable. I have nothing to gain in posting. You have everything to lose in being reactive. I was so disappointed, that I wrote the review while paying your full bill for bland and disappointing food as I could not wait to let you know! 2nd edit. After reading the reviews, and the owner's responses, I downgraded my review to 2 stars: Chris, you are pathetically rude and a sore loser. Your patrons have nothing to gain by posting reviews except to grade your restaurant. Now, I will also grade your personality: 1 star. And for that alone, I will NEVER return not because of your bland food but because you are a unlikable person that does not deserve my support. Final edit: pal, you are sore loser and a real jerk! I despise your attitude. I downgraded to 1 star based on your attitude towards your customers who criticized your food. I pity your staff as they must hate you, working for a jerk like you and given your lousy attitude towards your customers.

I tried to cancel my reservation 23 hours before it was set for. Chef owner Chris Kar informed me I would be charged $100 for my cancellation. I have never in all my years of making reservations been charged a no show fee. This is an insane and unfair. I had a death in my family and could not make this dinner. I will never dine here again besides the fact that their food is mediocre at best and taste all the same. If you want bland food and poor service this place is right for you. Save your money and your time and don’t eat here. There are plenty of better restaurants on the north fork.

Always enjoyed Jamesport Manor, not a fan of the new restaurant. While food was on par to JPM, They really need to rethink their wine by the glass and cocktail prices, $16 for a glass of Chardonnay that retails the bottle for $13, and $20 Martini. I’m not in a rush to go back .

I LOVED my time here. I sat at the bar with my partner and the bartender Emily was so knowledgeable and sweet. Ask her about the history of the estate! Super fun experience and the chef was so nice also! The duck appetizer was INCREDIBLE. The hostess and staff was all so sweet and personable. Such a great spot to celebrate or enjoy a drink. Outdoor area is super sweet too!

If you are out east on Long Island around Jamesport, Give the Jamesport Manor a try. Enjoy The excellent food well dining in an old Manor.

This is a new find for us after coming to the area for many years. I have to say this wasn’t just a surprise, this was an experience. Starting with the service. The first thing that’s noticeable is that the staff is young. However they are impeccable. There was never a time when we were waiting for water or drinks or food. Even though we got there towards closing time neither our table nor any other table was rushed or ignored. The food was perfect. We were there on a summer Sunday evening and everything we ordered was freshly made and delicious. This is truly the place to try in North Fork

For the forth time we suffered an arrogant lunch server. Overheard her explaining why items on menu weren't available. Attitude is not what luncheon is supposed to be about Filet mignon sandwich was grizzly, good chowder, good chicken salad On previous visit was charged $25.00 per childrens plate for a hand full of pasta in butter sauce. Was corrected to $15 when I called to complain. Menu states $10. Lunch server makes it very clear that children are not welcome (a one line "children's menu" at the bottom of menu confirms it ). Family's with children end up in at an other than main dining room table CHECK your bill. Three out of four visits included item not ordered / received Apology is always a not so believable "sloppy touch screen"

Nice place for a special meal. An old house, romantically lit, divided into various rooms for dining, upstairs and down. They have an elevator if you need it. Small bar area at front. The food was good and portions were large. I had the short ribs which were done perfectly. The older woman who seated us seemed a little abrupt and not the most charming person I’ve ever met. Other than that it is highly recommended, pricey of course.

Had a great dinner. The menu has alot of vegetarian meals. The view of the lovely garden surrounding the restaurant is exquisite. Going there again soon.
