First time we visited Deanie's and the food was good. When we received our bill, gratuity was already included for 2 people. Instead of correcting it before giving us the bill, our waiter claims the manager "accidentally" included the gratuity. Really? Don't believe it. Never have any wait staff include gratuity for a party of TWO!

At this restaurant, the food is excellent and the price is reasonable for the amount of food you receive. It's located in the French Quarters so there is a significant waiting to be seated. It's especially busy during the Mardi Gras season but it's worth the wait. They have a bar for socializing with friends and meeting new people.

Great place for oysters raw and roasted. Some of the best oysters we’ve ever eaten. Service could’ve been a little more friendly

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Deanie's!They are a big part of reason we love to come to New Orleans! Their Seafood Gumbo is the best I've ever had, and the BBQ Shrimp is fabulous - don't be confused by the name, no idea why it's called BBQ - it's baked in a cast iron skillet in butter, garlic and herbs served with French bread, great for dipping in the juices. The salads are fresh and their artichoke dressing is really good. We usually visit several times every time we're in New Orleans. There may be a wait for a table, but it is SO worth the wait!

Food was good. Nice portions. Server was attentive the whole meal. Wait wasn't bad at all for a busy Saturday night. Recommend to anyone visiting. Good prices to boot.

Melissa was our waitress. She was friendly. Fast and did her job with a smile. I didn't have to wait for my drinks and our food was great. Great job cooks! My husband loves his Bloody Mary! And he will be back!

We ate at the French Quarter restaurant in May and had a wonderful experience with service AND food. Which prompted me to recommend a return visit when we had our-of-town family visiting this past weekend. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing like the previous visit. We had a very rude waiter (Timothy) and the food was less than desirable. We will try another location in the future, in hopes for a better experience.

The best charbroiled oysters I had during my time in New Orleans!! And the service is great. Other than that it was hard to enjoy the rest of my meal. The portions are so big it almost made me sick.

First time to dine at Deanie's. Had a great experience. Food and service was outstanding. Decor was a little different than other places in the area...not in a negative sense. The half seafood platter was absolutely amazing.

Fantastic food!!! Two of us shared a 1/2 seafood platter and it was a lot more than we could eat... gumbo was great as well...But service wasn’t that great.. the waitress took our drink for a refill and never came back. We had to ask someone else to bring a drink. Our food came but had an item left off. When I reminded her all she said was “oh my bad. Do you still want it?” Of course we didn’t... she FINALLY came to the table after passing several times and we asked for the check.. that took about 20 minutes then once we gave our payment it took about 20 more minutes... she was too busy talking to her coworkers.. we had a group of five and the gratuity that was deducted was undeserving...0

I meant to do this last month. We ate here with my niece who has gluten and dairy allergies and they were extremely accommodating. She loved her gluten free fried shrimp. My flounder was also great!

Good not great. Food is good but I think I lot of the outstanding remarks comes from tourist. The real reason this isn't a 4 star review is the mandatory tip. Our table was charged $25 in tip

Diner like feel, overall great restaurant to go out with family and friends for a good meal. Not too pricey and great tasting eats. Recommend getting the seafood gumbo as others have mentioned. It is distinctive and rich in flavor!

Awesome service & reasonably priced food! I was recommended by a friend to come here when I visit New Orleans. I was not disappointed! Now, I am recommending that you all go and try them out as well! Bon appetit ❤️

The Pelham Hotel is 0.5 miles from Deanie's Seafood Restaurant in the French Quarter, which is located at 841 Iberville St. at the corner of Dauphine Street (one block off of Canal Boulevard). Enjoy your visit to New Orleans!

We stayed at the Bourbon Orleans, beautiful hotel ,right in the center of French quarter. It was walkable to everything

There are more than a dozen hotels that are less than 10 min walking. We are currently staying in a condo and pretty much all of the rooms are Air B'n'B. It's on the same block as Deanie's and across Bienville from Arnaud's. Our 1br is 150/night. 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms avail. Roof top pool & BBQ area. Elevators, full Kitchen Locked front entrance with on duty security 24/7 Definitely recommend it!
