First of its kind in Orlando, India's innovative cuisine, the very name 'Dakshin' evokes opulence in taste and decor. Dakshin introduces you to a cuisine from the southern part of India stretching from the rugged coastlines of Tamil Nadu and Kerala to the sun-drenched beaches of Goa and Mumbai on India's western coast. As spectacular and surprising as the country sides are, so are the cuisines of its many communities, which were confined by and large to family kitchens, until Dakshin, the restaurant, captured and showcased them. Created from a wealth of local spices, red chillies, coconut, pepper and spices of the coast, the cuisines of the Tamilians of Tamil Nadu, the Malayalees of Kerala, the Bunts of Mangalore, the Portuguese of Goa and the East Indians of Mumbai, are a delight to the taste buds.

Best Indian food I've had in a long time!! Love all the Indian decor too, they really put a lot of work into everything. The service was great and the food was amazing! Definitely will be back!

I loved the place, the ambiance is beautiful with some indian arts hanging on the walls. Jennifer, who attended me, was lovely. And the food was amazing, perfectly spiced. Recommend this restaurant for sure.

This place is highly disappointing!!! I would never suggest anyone to eat here. First of all they charged us a lot than usual restaurants and food had no taste. It seemed we are just eating something without any South Indian flavor. Given a chance I would rate it less than 1 star.
