We ate here after a 15K and it hit the spot. Really excellent New Orleans brunch menu, great service, food made in-house from scratch and not just heated up. My husband had a Bayou breakfast burrito and he said it was perfect. I had a dish with poached eggs that weren’t cooked quite as long as they should have been, thus the four stars instead of five. (3 minutes!) Anyway, this hit the spot and I’d recommend it.

Based on other reviews, we were so looking forward to eating here...I was first surprised by the very small size of the restaurant, there is seating for maybe 40? Second, the name indicates that you may have a water view, but it is certainly not the case, no outdoor seating, no view of anything, really. Third, the service was just so-so. No one was rude or anything like that, but nothing above average. Lastly, and most unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. My daughters split a swamp platter. I had the shrimp basket and my husband had a po'boy (NOLA 1/2 and 1/2 I think it was called). My shrimp were unpleasantly firm. All of the items in the platter were overcooked. I wish I could say I had the experience everyone else has written about, but...

They closed up on the beach...

You can get bottomless Mimosas, but it isn't included in anything. You have to order them separately, like you would order a Diet Coke.
