I was very nervous as we drove further and further south Looking for our destination. Pleasantly surprised is an understatement. This is a small location with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is courteous and very attentive.Now for the food. Absolutely outstanding! I got the veggie burrito and I have never seen such fresh vegetables inside a burrito. I recommend getting the trio appetizer, it comes with salsa a delicious melted cheese mushroom and jalapeno in a mini skillet of deliciousness, and guacamole so fresh you can taste the fields on the ingredients!I highly recommend you make the Trek South for this delicious cuisine!

Amazing food and drinks! It's impossible to order anything here that isn't delicious. The prickly pear margarita was amazing, as well as the enchiladas and tacos. The owner, Leo, will treat you like family and his attitude permeates the business. All of the servers seem to love their job, which usually means their boss is awesome, and that's what leads to long term success for restaurants. Can't recommend this place enough. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

Pretty impressed by our first visit. The outside appearance does not reflect the inside experience. The inside is cute and inviting. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice and answered all of our questions about the menu. She clearly knew her stuff and was very friendly. The food was very good. I recommend asking for the habanero salsa if you like it hot. The steak tenderloin tacos are so good with fried jalapenos on top.

This is by far the best Mexican food I have eaten....EVER. I highly recommend the mushroom enchalada and the steak tacos. The Customer Service provided by Hector was outstanding. Amazing Experience!!!

What an awesome experience here! My and my girlfriend we're driving by hungry and decided to eat here for lunch. The food was amazing and the bartender was the perfect balance of friendly but not over talkative. The owner even stopped by to ask our thoughts and thank us for stopping by. Appreciate the hospitality and excellent food, I will certainly be back soon!

Its a small sit down place but the food. Is. Phenomenal. Excellent. And the service is so warm and friendly, we were waited on hand and foot, it was a very pleasant surprise for us. The enchaladas are so good, the salsa is amazing and the tacos are so good, and with prices like they have its hard to go anywhere else. As you can clearly, we cleaned our plates and those salsa cups 😍

We went about 7pm with a group of 8. Seated in about 30 minutes, reservation are encouraged. Prices are reasonable and staff is polite. One seemed rushy though. We all seemed to enjoy our meal. I especially liked how the mushroom is cooked, a little crunch but cooked. Nothing stood out to say highly encouraged to try. Overall good flavor.

Some friends recommended this place to us. They happened upon it here, so we thought we'd stop in. I was intrigued by the prickly pear margarita, but I don't like sweet. I had them make it with jalapeno tequila. Nice touch! The salsa is very mild, but if you ask for the habanero and mix a little into the salsa, it's very good! My friend had the chicken tortilla soup to start. He says it was the best he's ever had! We both had enchiladas and they were both delicious! We will be back!

AMAZING! Not going to lie this was rather difficult to find because there wasn't any flashy signs and from the outside it doesn't look like anything special. But, the inside tells a whole different story. Mexican themed atmosphere, decoration, music, etc. Small bar, table and booth seating. Service was very friendly and had a positive sense of humor that was a nice interaction. Best Mexican food I have had in a long time. Classic chips with guacamole but with a twist of jalapeno-bacon added. Fantastic enchiladas, the beans and rice were just the right amount of side servings. Finally the dessert was beautifully prepared and the chocolate just melted in my mouth. Wish I could give six stars because everything seemed freshly prepared and served. Highly recommend this place.

Wow, what an incredible little place with huge flavor. A friend recommended Cocina Madrigal so we decided to try it. The Beef Tenderloin tacos are a must and so are the Al Pastor tacos. The Service is top notch. 5 Stars all the way around. Only problem would be getting a table. They take reservations! 👌

Cocina Madrigal has some of the best salsas I've ever had. These are just like the ones I've had in Mexico. I love washing down spicy salsas with cold beers. Great great great good! Staff and servers are really friendly and fast. One of my favorite restaurants in Phoenix!!

Ordered The house margaritas and you immediately knew these were freshly made (not from a mix) and were DELICIOUS. Erica let us know the guacamole and corn Tortilla are made fresh daily and the owner is the head chef in the kitchen. We now know we are in for a real treat.We ordered the beef tenderloin and shrimp tacos. Outstanding , delicious, quality, flavorful, perfectly portioned and balanced.

We strolled in on July 4th and had a great dinner. It was quiet for the holiday but the food and service was excellent! Great tacos and enchiladas! We liked that we could mix and match the options. Definitely worth a stop.

This place has the best food and drinks ever. The menu was simple, service was great. The margaritas were actual margaritas that were not watered down. It's small but a great hidden gem to be tried.

Not your traditional Mexican Restaurant. The food offered is more gourmet. Wild mushroom burritos, enchiladas, seafood tacos. All well prepared and piping hot when it is delivered to your table. The margaritas are a favorite but mine is the Michelada made with Estrella on tap.
