Chicago Diner

One of my favorite vegan friendly places to eat at. The staff is always nice, the food is great and the place has many posters and art around to look at.

Wonderful experience at the Chicago diner ! My daughter is always raving about this diner, so during our visit to Chicago, we had to check it out. The place was jam-packed ( and rightly so!) . I had the Country Fried Steak, my husband had the Thai Spicy Wings, and my daughter had the Rueben. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the server was friendly and efficient. We'll definitely be back the next time we visit Chicago. Highly recommended !!!

Amazing little space with great food! We came at around 3pm and the place was packed! But well worth the wait. Best Cuban sandwich I've had! And those milkshakes!!!

Came in at 255. Was told there was a 40 minute wait so we put our name down and came back promptly 40 minutes later at 335. We were then told that they had seated their last table for the night at 330 because they were closing at 4. We weren't told this information when we arrived. Staff was unwilling to accommodate us despite only being 5 minutes past the unmentioned early closing time. Super disappointing since we are from Portland OR and specifically seek out Chicago Diner when we are in Chicago.

We had a great experience at the Chicago Diner and will be coming back. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was delicious. We started with a plate of zucchini empanadas that were simply amazing. We also had the eggplant lasagna and the fried steak brunch plate. Lastly, we enjoyed some of their famous smoothies. All and all, we had a great experience and definitely recommend the Chicago Diner!

We had to wait, but they have a heated patio!!! Staff was really friendly and amazing. Food was on point. Cute little place. Loved it here, what more can I say?

This place is amazing. If there were more meatfree restaurants like this, I'd go back to being vegetarian. Whenever I am in Chicago, I've got a good excuse to come running back to this diner.

Never been before, but I am definitely going back! It has been on my wife's to do list to come here forever, and it lived up to the reputation! Clean and super polite staff makes this place a go to next time we are in the area.

Good place for vegan food. Personally I think the name carries them a little. They have good food and have a wide variety of options but the dishes tend to be lacking high quality ingredients and many could use a little more flavor. There are better options like Pick Me Up in the neighborhood, but they are famous and we love to have them around!

Been here a few times since I first discovered it a few years ago. I try to always drop by when I come through Chicago. Really good food and a nice, varied menu.

Amazing food! Definitely makes less meat in the diet easier 😋. Awesome, friendly staff that makes for a super comfortable atmosphere. Can't recommend highly enough 😁

Mexican Bowl  Scrambled eggs with tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, cilantro, and cheese alongside guacamole and salsa. Potato hash and beans on the side. Everything was top notch; the eggs done just right- fluffy and spicy; the beans - nice consistent texture; the potato hash - crispy; the guacamole and salsa - fresh and tangy. We don’t think it could’ve been made any better.It was perfectly balanced as well.Protein from eggs and beans; carbs from beans and potato; fats from eggs and guacamole. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞One of those diners that stood the test of time, been around since 1983.Everything on their, extensive, menu is Vegan AND delicious. Try it, you won’t be disappointed. There’s also an option to replace tofu with eggs for a few brunch items (we did that for one of our meals)..𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐬Their Vegan shakes are BOMB..

Good vegan options.. the Reuben is great. The milk shakes are great. Biscuits n gravy not so great. They do a good job but many times the food lacks seasoning.

Went here for the first time after thinking about going for two years. It was worth the wait. I ordered the milkshake and asked if i could do chocolate and banana, DO chocolate and banana. it was the most delicious thing i’ve ever had. I also ordered their version of a Ruben and it was on point. Workers were super friendly and i enjoyed everything about my experience. will be bringing my friends here so they can try vegan food.

This is a great Vegan restaurant. It has a very broad menu to choose from and I chose an entree that I had not had before. It was delivered quickly and was really good. I have been to this restaurant before and try to go back as often as I can.
