Chicago Diner

About

April 2, 1983. In a city known for meat packing & hog butchering, a brave pair of optimistic vegetarians opened a ground breaking meat free eatery called The Chicago Diner. Since then, co-owners Mickey Hornick & Jo Kaucher, have built a reputation for wowing customers with unique and innovative dishes, changing minds about “The Way a Diner Should Be”.

One of my favorite vegan friendly places to eat at. The staff is always nice, the food is great and the place has many posters and art around to look at.

Wonderful experience at the Chicago diner ! My daughter is always raving about this diner, so during our visit to Chicago, we had to check it out. The place was jam-packed ( and rightly so!) . I had the Country Fried Steak, my husband had the Thai Spicy Wings, and my daughter had the Rueben. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the server was friendly and efficient. We'll definitely be back the next time we visit Chicago. Highly recommended !!!

Amazing little space with great food! We came at around 3pm and the place was packed! But well worth the wait. Best Cuban sandwich I've had! And those milkshakes!!!

The food is so good, you just won't miss the dairy. You'll still be as full and you might even feel better after eating this way. Try it and see. No meat on the menu.
