Chicago Chop House

[Dined here Dec. 24th, 2019]The Chicago Chop House is Chicagoland's tier one steakhouse. My family and I had an incredible Christmas Eve dinner here, and I cannot decide which I enjoyed more: the food or the ambiance. While the meat products are clearly of a high caliber (I strongly recommend either the Tomahawk Ribeye or the Petite NY Strip), it was the side dishes that really sealed the deal for me.Be certain to try the truffle mac and cheese, steamed spinach, or any of the seafood options should you visit the Chop House!

My wife and I had an excellent experience! Our server, Todd, helped us to understand the options and select two very good meals. We also found the perfect wine for the steaks, a St. Francis Merlot 2008. Overall excellent meal and experience... we will definitely be back!

Traveled the world, eaten at some of the top spots in the US - this is by far the best traditional steak house there is.If you want the best steak and are in Chicago, make it a point to eat here.

Seriously, the best food I have ever eaten. My boyfriend and I ate here for Thanksgiving, the staff made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. I have never had an experience like this anywhere else. They even gave us a free ride back to our hotel in a black tinted suv. The top experience I have ever had, do not skip visiting this place while in Chicago, it's worth every penny.

Monique and the staff are excellent. Remembered our last trip almost to the date. Missed by 24 hours! WOW!!!!!

Amazing Diner! Birthday Diner! Had the Japanese Beef and it was good!

From walking in to leaving we were treated as honored guests. Dominic was mindful and the gentleman helping him was also a silent presence making sure our glasses stayed full and our dishes were cleared at just the right time. We were there for a special occasion and were treated well in that regard as well. Would highly recommend. We did make reservations in advance so were seated quickly and we were in a nice cozy location. :-) Oh!! BEST Asparagus I have EVER eaten!! No kidding. I ate 4 before I remembered to eat my steak!

Great food. Had the scallop appetizer, very good. My husbands steak he said was one of the best he has had. The dessert was THE BEST. Really enjoyed the key lime pie. The service was wonderful, very attentive to my husbands gluten allergy and provided complimentary dessert for our birthdays. One star off as the ambiance could have been better, loud intoxicated gentleman at the bar and tables in very close proximity. The meal was fantastic otherwise.

First time I tried dry aged steak. Delicious. You need to try it. All round excellent restaurant.

Service great but the NY Strip steak was hard, you really have to work at chewing. Two small pieces was all I could take. I gave the rest to my dog the next day. The fries were hard, very hard, asparagas was good, creamed spinach had no flavor with mozzarella cheese on top. Coffee good. Lollipop Lamb was excellent. Lobster bisque was bland, salt helped a bit but no... the taste wasn't there. Goat cheese with bacon too sweet for me but others seem to enjoy it. I hope your experience is better than mine. My fellow dinners were top notch.

Definition of fine dining and service. Amazing steak! But what wowed me was the service. A must if you are a steak fanatic!

This place was so good! Our waiter Tony was extremely polite n helpful, everyone was so attentive. The food was phenomenal, by far the best scallops I've ever had, the steak was heavenly. Definitely pricey but worth it. I loved coming here, we ordered the dry-aged ribeye, scallops, and truffle Mac n cheese

Great eating experience. The crab cakes and shrimp cocktail were excellent. The crusty bread came out steaming hot and the dry aged Tomahawk steak was outstanding! Even better, the service from Megan was 5 star!

My goto steakhouse whenever I visit Chicago. The setting is real old-school steakhouse. The service is fast and attentive and the steaks are awesome! Vallet parking is available.
