Chashu Ramen + Izakaya

Just came here today for lunch. The place looks fancy, but the food is normal, nothing impressive. The frustrating part is that we asked to serve the karaage and ramen together, because this is my preference to enjoy food together. The karaage came a bit earlier (which is fine) and the waitress said that the ramen was almost ready, but after we waited for more than 5 mins, we saw the cook was chatting with someone and there was no sign that the ramen was close to ready. And my husband asked the waitress about when the ramen would come, and then the waitress responded she put the order together, and sounded like she had nothing to do and didn’t care about this. What makes it worse was that someone who didn’t look like a staff (or at least not in that shift) was in the kitchen and chatting with the cook. There were no masks on the cook when chatting and cooking. I’m highly concerned with the hygiene of this restaurant. Anyway, I won’t return and don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Today was my 1st visit and I was impressed with the service. I have several allergies which makes my food selection a bit harder. I have to give it to Katie. An amazing and very understanding young lady. I lost count on how many times she checked the allergy menu for me but she found something that I could eat and I was more than satisfied. Thank you for an outstanding service Katie.

Best ramen around, great portions. I got the wok-fried edamame with red chili peppers and it was delicious.

Do not eat here if you are vegan. Both their vegan options are bland and overpriced. The spicy miso left my stomach upset given the amount of sesame oil they put in it. Would highly suggest another ramen spot if you don't want to end up vomiting.

Had high hopes from the moment we stepped in. We visited for the 4 Course VDay Dinner. Our server warned us there would be a slight stagger to the dishes because the Kitchen was working so diligently so Course 1 & 2 would be entered at the same time and could come out in either order, we understood and appreciated the heads-up, there are some things outside of your control. Much to our disappointment however someone had dropped the ball. I received Course 2 first, not a big deal we were warned, but about 15-20 minutes later someone approached to confirm whether I had even received my First Course, I let him know I hadn’t, he apologized, said it’d be right out and walked away. About 10-15 minutes later the same gentleman drops my Course 3.. still no Course 1. It’s about an hour into sitting down and still haven’t been given the First Course as I watch other patrons receive their meals in Order without issue. Much to my chagrin it takes 15-20 minutes after receiving course 3 which at that point I hadn’t touched, to receive the first course.. Finally, the Long awaited First course! Consisting of 3 Tiny pieces of Beef and a heaping helping of Dressing… Not keen on that but will admit it was flavorful. Course 3 was tasty but probably would have been best fresh from the kitchen. The food was good, but the execution lacked and so it did detract from the dining experience as a whole. I thought maybe the Restaurant may acknowledge the significant inconveniences over the dinner, aiming to ensure a quality customer experience, but they did not. With the Bill paid, despite the experience, our server was Tipped, she was really nice to us and what happened didn’t reflect them specifically. They have since last night, apologized and expressed a miscommunication had occurred somewhere along the way. Might give them another shot at a later date, first time just fell short.

Visited this place at least 4 times and every time we come to a conclusion that service was very good as there always seems to be enough staff to handle the whole place or at least we didn’t feel lack of. But ramen was really bland. Their menu is also limited. The place itself, however, is very nice. Modern, clean and tastefully decorated. Parking can be difficult. Overall, not a bad experience just looking for more flavor in my ramen.

The food was good, outdoor seating, not that good. Not the best chicken kagaare that I've had, but the presentation was nice. The ramen was tasty and the noodles had good consistency. The thing that left a bad taste was the hour long wait for the ramen to arrive due to a glitch in the ordering system (which is why the ramen picture is dark). For that i have to ding them for service.

Incredibly delicious and beautiful! My lunch portion of Woo-Bap was massive and flavorful. Cant wait to go back!

Absolutely fantastic experience!! The phone reservation was handled promptly, friendly, and efficient..such a pleasure in a world where it's hard to even get people to answer the phone. The ambience is lovely. The artwork is stunning and every detail is well thought out...for example ..the silhouette wood work above the food prep area didn't have to be ornate but they did it so well and it's simple elegance in all the small details made me remember how important the smallest details can be. If I have one suggestion it's that it's a little loud with very little to absorb the noise bouncing around. Ashleigh our waitress was our food Sherpa and we put ourselves in her hands to guide us...I literally said to her .."you drive..show us the way...thinking back to an Omikase experience we had with Mori Moto ( yes him the iron chef) years ago. She absolutely excelled as an ambassador for the restaurant and with the food choices and the drink suggestions were spot on! She was so friendly, knowledgeable and efficient..a true professional..she didn't drop the ball once. The food was full of pleasant tasty surprises AND EXCEEDED our expectations.. ..the flaming salmon was magic..buttery soft salmon with notes of the flaming lemongrass ..WOW! The Ramen was next level that was comforting and inspiring. What a great experience to have such a well run business with a highly trained and personable staff. This is what good business looks like ..and better yet tastes like. I texted three friends while we were there sharing the experience and look forward to bringing them each when I come back in the coming weeks. My only regret is that it's not mine because I love everything about it.

This place is a 5 star restaurant in my books. Everything from the main courses, drinks, and desserts is crafted with such care and PACKED with unique flavors and deliciousness. Every bite and sip will have you saying 'wow... ' oh my god??'. Waiters and bartenders are so kind, thoughtful, and knowledgable! Everything on the menu is straight HEAT. Also the mockcocktails???? Sooo good. Make sure to make a reservation on weekends because it's always packed, the bar is first come first serve and you can eat there too in case it's too busy to get a table. I recommend the Abura & Bao Bao and the Lavanda Cocktail I love that the desserts menu changes around too so you can try something new. This place is great for special occasions (I went for my Bday) or even just a regular casual dinner. Considering how high quality the ingredients are the price tag is very reasonable compared to some other upscale restaurants in the area. You can find parking easily by the library and walk :) Cannot recommend this place enough, JUST GO!! :)

Food was absolutely fantastic service was on the slow side but not awful I would come back again

The food and service here were top tier, we had Maria as our server and she was friendly and very attentive! We ordered the Chicken Bao, the Chicken Karaaage, the house salad, the beef and salmon skewers, the Maze noodles and Tamenegi noodles. The karaage chicken and the bao were our personal favourites, but would recommend all of the food we had! Definitely will be back here soon!

Amazing meal. Well worth the trip to Worcester. The skewers, short ribs and banana ice cream were all stunningly good. I can’t recommend this Chashu highly enough.
